Requirements
  • Reliable transportation that allows travel to multiple work locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to work weekends when applicable.
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work over 40 hours to meet business needs.
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit; regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Manage clinic flow while safeguarding patients’ needs and concerns during their visits.
  • Communicate delays to the Clinic Manager and team leads, and keep patients informed of delays.
  • Facilitate assistance with scheduled appointments, appointment miscommunication, and matters requiring approval outside the normal daily flow.
  • Resolve patient issues involving appointments, timeframes, communications, staff, and departments.
  • Receive guests and minimize interruptions that could delay doctors from seeing patients.
  • Spearhead Virginia Eye Consultants’ Concierge Service with the Director of Patient Experience.
  • Coordinate internal and community events with the CEO and Director of Patient Experience.
  • Keep satellite locations stocked with supplies and brochures and oversee their inventory.
  • Travel to satellite locations to ensure the organization’s service culture is observed and assist with operational decisions and issues.
  • Assist staff and patients with transportation, hotels, hearing-impaired appointments, and communications with the Surgery Department, ambulatory surgery center, and administrative assistants.
  • Oversee staff greeting patients upon arrival, anticipating patient needs, providing a farewell at departure, and training staff by example.
