Requirements
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, with a general understanding of computer networks.
  • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, and survey theory and techniques.
  • Experience organizing technical data accurately and familiarity with the CSI specification system for construction.
  • A thorough understanding of construction processes and the ability to interpret construction-related documentation.
  • At least two years of construction estimating experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience.
  • Education background in materials and methods of construction.
  • Ability to work closely with trade and craft personnel in a field-work environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or off-shift work as required by changing construction schedules and sequences.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, use a computer, lift up to 20 pounds, and meet the stated visual, hearing, speech, and physical requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, follow through on assignments, plan and organize work, and use creativity, independent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and communicate with coworkers.
  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain job cost reports, including budgets, commitments, forecasts, yet-to-buy items, contingencies, and spending.
  • Track costs by bid package, field order, and client-defined change category.
  • Set up and maintain project indicators, including visual graphics.
  • Work with subcontractors and equipment and material vendors to validate cost proposals.
  • Reconcile project cost reports monthly.
  • Interpret design documents, construction documents, and technical manuals to quantify construction materials.
  • Perform on-screen takeoffs of material quantities.
  • Prepare and manage cost authorization packages.
  • Summarize material quantities in an orderly manner.
  • Analyze project design and construction documents to determine project needs.
  • Review MEP cost proposals and prepare cost estimates for MEP scope changes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Specific experience with industrial and/or high-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects.
  • LEED Accredited Professional accreditation or the ability to become accredited within 18 months.
