A high school diploma or GED is required.
A valid Nursing Assistant Registered license is required, and the employee must actively work toward obtaining a Certified Nursing Assistant license.
Within 120 days of employment, complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and become certified.
Complete 16 hours of classroom education and skills checks for clinical areas included in the job expectations.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
React decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Communicate effectively with residents, their family members, and facility staff.
Demonstrate compassion and patience.
Submit to and clear the state-specific background check required before contact with patients or residents.
Responsibilities
Assist Certified Nursing Assistants with their day-to-day functions.
Answer the nurse call system to determine residents’ needs.
Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care.
Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
Assist residents with range-of-motion exercises and movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
Assist residents with turning and positioning in bed.
Document services provided.
Assist residents with short-distance ambulation within the facility.
Maintain punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Maintain resident and patient confidentiality.
Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Six months of experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.

Description
A Nursing Assistant is compassionate caregiver. He/she has either successfully completed a CNA program or is currently enrolled in a program with the intention of progressing through certified nursing school. A Nursing Assistant assists CNAs in their daily duties with residents/patients. Must have valid NAR license and be actively working towards obtaining their CNA license.
What You'll Do:
Assists CNAs in their day to day functions.

Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in facility.
Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
