About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Health Studies, Sociology, or a related field is required.
- Broad knowledge of health services, with a focus on common issues college students face regarding mental, physical, and sexual health and substance abuse.
- Ability to collaborate with university and community partners in a team environment.
- Ability to interact effectively with the entire student population and understand student-related issues.
- Analytical ability to ascertain needs and identify appropriate actions.
- Ability to facilitate training and presentations.
- Ability to draft presentation materials, correspondence, and reports.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide referral services.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and act upon decisions within delegated authority.

- Coordinate interventions, referrals, and follow-up services for students who are referred, in crisis, or have behavioral needs, in coordination with the supervisor.
- Oversee follow-up and monitoring of students in distress to evaluate progress and ensure compliance with recommendations; maintain confidential student records in Maxient and Titanium.
- Consult with campus community members seeking guidance about services for students in distress.
- Collaborate with Student Conduct hearing officers to address concerning behaviors.
- Participate in case conference meetings with Counseling Center staff to coordinate care and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines.
- Lead the design and implementation of training and health and wellbeing educational programming to promote positive mental, physical, and sexual health and reduce substance abuse on campus.
- Develop partnerships across campus and with community agencies to provide student resources and services.
- Assist with managing health and wellbeing community partnerships, including disseminating information about their services and relationships with local community health centers and the university-endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan.
- Prepare and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, posters, visual aids, website, social media, and electronic materials.
- Work with Accessibility and Accommodation, Campus Police, Counseling Center, Equal Opportunity, Residence Life, Veteran Services, and other campus constituents; serve on applicable committees including the CARE Team and Sexual Response Team.
- Coordinate all Paw Pantry operations, including ordering, stocking, inventory, marketing, and operating regular hours.
- Distribute and track new student engagement and completion of required Title IX training.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- A master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
