Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • Have recent and significant experience in a Centre Mère-Enfant, including obstetrics, postpartum, nursery, or pediatrics.
  • Adapt to rotating shifts and a new clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate relational skills, empathy, and a family-centered approach.
Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized nursing care to postpartum patients, newborns, and hospitalized pediatric patients.
  • Conduct rigorous postpartum and neonatal clinical monitoring.
  • Accompany, support, and educate families as they welcome a newborn, including breastfeeding, basic care, and preparation for returning home.
  • Quickly identify risks or clinical complications affecting the mother or child and intervene according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with pediatricians, obstetricians, and the CME interdisciplinary team.
