Headlight delivers in-network mental health care across multiple states, offering both telehealth and in-person therapy. It uses full-time W-2 clinicians to provide talk therapy, medication management, and nasal esketamine for conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma. A tech-forward onboarding process combines a patient’s medical and prescription history to better match patients with compatible therapists and streamline intake. By contracting with major insurers and adopting a hybrid direct-to-consumer model, Headlight aims to expand access to affordable mental health care while growing its network and technology platform.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Headlight posted open roles in March 2026, signaling continued clinical expansion.
  • Its July 2026 locations page listed Alaska, California, Colorado, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
  • In-house credentialing promises 60-120 day payer enrollment, enabling faster provider ramp than rivals.

What critics are saying

  • Headlight depends on UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and Optum reimbursements; contract cuts hit revenue immediately.
  • Credentialing still takes 60-120 days, delaying hiring and suppressing utilization during expansion.
  • If payer margins compress before national scale, Headlight’s W-2 labor model becomes unprofitable.

What makes Headlight unique

  • Headlight’s clinician-led, W-2 model reduces fragmentation versus contractor-heavy teletherapy marketplaces.
  • It offers in-network therapy, psychiatry, and Spravato across hybrid visits in six states.
  • Geoff Swindle, ex-Amazon Pharmacy and PillPack, brings pharmacy-grade onboarding expertise since 2024.
