Zwift provides a subscription-based fitness app that turns indoor cycling and running into social, gamified experiences. It creates immersive virtual worlds where users ride or run, train, compete in races, and socialize with others. The app works by pairing with a bike trainer or treadmill and syncing sensors and devices to a virtual environment, then offering structured workouts, group rides, and real-time competitions. In addition to the app, Zwift sells training gear and apparel through its online shop. Zwift differentiates itself by combining fitness with online community features and competitive events that connect riders and runners worldwide, rather than focusing on standalone workouts. Its goal is to make indoor training more engaging and enjoyable while building a global, active community and growing its subscription and gear ecosystem.

Avid Cyclist

Espresso on wheels: Zwift and Rocket Espresso brew up a cyclist's dream machine.

Espresso on wheels: Zwift and Rocket Espresso brew up a cyclist's dream machine. May 28, 2026 Avid Cyclist is getting to the business end of the Giro d'Italia and Unbound Gravel starts later in the week, but the coolest new bike-related product Avid Cyclist has seen today is this Mozzafiato Fast coffee machine, a collaborative project between Zwift and Italy's Rocket Espresso. What is it about cycling and coffee? Yes, there are plenty of tea/herbal infusion/[insert name of your favourite beverage here] drinkers among Avid Cyclist, but coffee... well, it rules in cycling. Speaking of rules, the Velominati - the creators of cycling's tongue-in-cheek etiquette list, The Rules - not only mention coffee, but treat it as a foundational ritual of the sport. Rule #56 says, "When wearing cycling kit and enjoying a pre or post ride coffee, it is only appropriate to drink espresso or macchiato. If the word soy/skim latte is heard to be used by a member wearing cycling apparel, then that person must be ceremonially beaten with CO[2] canisters or mini pumps by others within the community." No messing about there. Faema, Saeco and Segafredo have been title sponsors of pro teams, while at an amateur level, cycling and coffee have quietly become one of sport's great accidental love stories. Coffee isn't just cycling fuel - it's part of the identity. Is keeping a spreadsheet of burr size, brew temperature and shot volume going too far? Asking for a friend. Inspired by Back to the point, though... The Espresso Mozzafiato Fast is an existing machine in the Rocket range, and now it is available in a Zwift version. It's "a machine built for those who chase segments by day and the perfect extraction by dawn", apparently, blending "the precision of Italian engineering with the high-octane energy of the world's biggest digital cycling community." "At its heart, the Mozzafiato Fast delivers the renowned Rocket Espresso experience, refined, powerful, and consistent," says Zwift. "With its beautiful stainless-steel exterior, this machine is unmistakably a Rocket Espresso, designed to look stunning in any home. This special edition brings subtle Zwift DNA into every detail. Discreet 'Big Zee' logos are seamlessly integrated into the machine's design, while striking orange gauge needles add a signature burst of energy and an unmistakable nod to speed and momentum. "The Mozzafiato Fast (meaning 'Breathtaking') is designed to keep pace with your busiest training blocks. Featuring a new rapid-heating system, this machine is ready to pull a pro-grade shot almost as fast as you can click 'Join Ride.' Whether you're prepping for a social ride in Watopia or in need of a pre-work pickup, the Mozzafiato Fast ensures you're never waiting on your caffeine." Okay, that's enough of the sales pitch, but Avid Cyclist has got to agree that this machine looks very, very cool. Rocket machines always do. The Zwift elements are fairly subtle, but Avid Cyclist like them. Avid Cyclist tried to convince Zwift that Avid Cyclist should have one of these machines in the road.cc office for 'review purposes', but they weren't falling for any of its nonsense. The Rocket Espresso x Zwift Mozzafiato Fast is limited to 200 units, priced at $3156 plus tax

Zwift acquires ROUVY to accelerate indoor cycling growth through differentiated experiences

Zwift has acquired ROUVY, the real routes cycling app, to accelerate growth in the indoor cycling category whilst maintaining independent operations for both platforms. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal comes as the indoor cycling market experiences its fastest growth since COVID, driven by increased affordability and simplicity of smart trainers. Zwift co-founder and CEO Eric Min said the acquisition aims to make more people active through differentiated experiences. From today, Zwift Ready smart trainers and Zwift Ride smart frames will work with ROUVY's software. Both companies will continue operating independently with separate roadmaps and subscriptions. ROUVY founder Petr Samek said the platform will maintain its focus on connecting indoor and outdoor training through real routes, now supported by Zwift's hardware ecosystem.

Your training plan now syncs to Zwift.

Your training plan now syncs to Zwift. Push your scheduled indoor bike workouts from Transition straight to Zwift. No more re-entering intervals, no more guessing at power targets. Alex Wormuth One of its most requested integrations is live today: Transition now syncs your scheduled indoor bike workouts directly to Zwift. Open Zwift, pick your world, and your workout for the day is already waiting - intervals, power targets, durations, and all. Why Transition built this. You already had a plan. You already had Zwift. The problem was the ten minutes in between - squinting at your Transition workout on your phone, then translating every interval into Zwift's workout editor before you could start pedaling. That friction adds up. It's the reason people skip the structured session and default to a group ride, or worse, skip the ride altogether. This integration removes that step entirely. How it works. * Connect Zwift - Open Transition, go to Settings > Integrations, and tap Connect Zwift * Log in once - Authorize with your Zwift account * Done - Every scheduled indoor bike workout automatically appears in your Zwift custom workouts folder When your plan updates - because you skipped a day, felt tired, or the AI coach adapted your week - Zwift updates too. You never have to think about it. What gets synced. * Structured interval workouts with power targets (% of FTP) * Warm-ups, main sets, and cooldowns - exactly as designed * Workout names matching your Transition plan so you know which session is which * Updates when your plan changes or shifts Completed rides still sync back from Zwift to Transition the way they always have. Your training load, FTP estimates, and AI coach feedback all stay up to date - now with zero manual work on either side. A thank you to everyone who asked. This was the top-requested integration in its feedback inbox for months. Seeing the same request come in over and over is the clearest signal a founder can get. Thank you for being loud about what you wanted. If there's a tool you want to see Transition connect with next, tell Transition. Transition is listening. Ready to ride? Open Transition, connect Zwift, and your next indoor session is already queued up.

Zwift Camp: Breakthrough announced, begins April 6.

Zwift Camp: Breakthrough announced, begins April 6. March 30, 2026 LAST UPDATED March 31, 2026 Table of Contents This season, Zwift is leaning heavily into the Zwift Camp concept, launching a three-camp series that kicked off with Zwift Camp: Baseline in September. Next week (Monday, April 6), the third and final Camp of the season begins. Named "Zwift Camp: Breakthrough", it's a 5-stage workout series all about helping you transition to outdoor riding. Dive into all the details below! Breakthrough basics. After Zwift Camp: Baseline showed Zwift Insider its power bests across various intervals, and Zwift Camp: Build pushed Zwift Insider to get stronger, Zwift Camp: Breakthrough is here to help Zwift Insider transition confidently into outdoor riding. The Camp consists of five different workouts, spread across five weeks. You can finish each workout once and complete the Camp, but you can also do a workout multiple times if you're looking for additional training. Instead of targeting power intervals like the first two camps, ZC: Breakthrough workouts target your technique while helping you build enduring fitness: * Stage 1: Foundations * Stage 2: Body Control * Stage 3: Cadence Mastery * Stage 4: Standing Skills * Stage 5: Flow Session Workouts + schedule. Stages can be completed as on-demand (solo) efforts whenever you'd like, or you can join a scheduled group event. * Stage 1: April 6-12 * Foundations: Good posture and a cleaner pedal stroke save you tons of energy. It's how you make outdoor rides feel effortless. The workout reinforces "calm control" while you build sustainable fitness with mostly steady work, then finishes by sharpening leg speed so you can stay smooth across different cadences. * Unlock: Oakley Velo Kato Glasses * Route: Triple Twist * Stage 2: April 13-19 * Body Control: Riding outdoors is all about tiny adjustments. When your position changes, staying steady is what keeps rides calm and efficient. The workout guides riders through hand-position changes, one-leg focus drills, and calm upper-body control so adjustments feel natural, not messy, and you stay efficient and confident outside. * Unlock: Princeton Wake 6560 Wheels Lava Red Colorway * Route: Island Hopper * Stage 3: April 20-26 * Cadence Mastery: Zwift Insider is teaching cadence adaptability: staying smooth and in control even when rhythm changes (wind, terrain, surges, group pace). The workout emphasizes switching between higher and lower stroke speeds while keeping power steady, so outdoor riding feels composed instead of chaotic. * Unlock: Pinarello Dogma F 2024 Starry Red Colorway * Route: Green to Screen * Stage 4: April 27-May 3 * Standing Skills: The goal is to make standing feel just as smooth and confident as sitting. The workout focuses on clean seated-to-standing transitions while maintaining control, building confidence for rollers, small rises, quick changes in pace, and "stretch-and-reset" moments outdoors. * Route: Gentil 8 * Stage 5: May 4-10 * Flow Session: The "put it all together" capstone. This is practice for the real world - you're training control, not just fitness. Posture, pedal stroke, cadence control, and standing transitions blended into one steady, outdoor-ready rhythm. The script positions it as the final integration - helping riders feel calm, smooth, and capable when roads, terrain, and pace change. * Unlock: Zwift Camp: Breakthrough Kit * Route: Big Flat 8 * Make-Up Events: May 11-17 Each stage is a week long, with events beginning at 9am PST on Monday and scheduled hourly on the hour until 8am PST the following Monday. Progressive unlocks. Four unlocks are available as you work your way through Zwift Camp: Breakthrough: * Complete Stage 1: Oakley Velo Kato glasses * Complete Stage 2: Lava Red Colorway for Princetown Carbonworks Wake 6560 wheels* * Complete Stage 3: Starry Red Colorway for Pinarello Dogma F 2024 frame* * Complete all 5 Stages: Zwift Camp: Breakthrough cycling kit *These unlocks are for colorways only. You must still purchase the base Princetown Carbonworks Wake 6560 wheels and Pinarello Dogma F 2024 frame in the DropShop.
