Requirements
  • The Group Meeting Facilitator - HAB | Walla, WA - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience dealing with diverse interests and contentious issues.
  • Experience facilitating groups of diverse stakeholders to reach consensus decisions.
  • Certified Professional Facilitator (preferred).
  • Experience facilitating tribal, state, and federal stakeholders (preferred).
  • Knowledge of environmental law, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) (preferred).
  • Knowledge of tri party agreement and applicable treaties including the Treaties of 1855, and the rights and recognition of Tribal trustees as sovereign nations with traditional cultural interests in the landscapes and resources at the Hanford Site (preferred).
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, oversee, and be responsible for meeting schedules, agendas, and work plans: Establish and distribute HAB meeting schedules, agendas, and work plans in consultation with DOE HAB Coordinators, Washington State Ecology and EPA representatives, HAB Chairperson, and HAB Executive Issues Committee.
  • Oversee, and be responsible for committee and board meeting agendas: Ensure topics are included in agenda in timely manner and acceptable to three agencies prior to distribution; Final detailed agendas provided 10 days prior to HAB committee and full Board meetings.
  • Maintain open, ongoing and effective communications with agency representatives, including the DOE Federal Coordinators, HAB leadership, members and issue managers.
  • Develop and distribute the HAB Annual Report; provide DOE with digital copy.
  • Assist with Ecology’s Annual HAB/Public Involvement Survey by conducting survey and providing results to Federal Coordinator.
  • Maintain a HAB library per FACA guidelines; organize and maintain the official information repository; ensure DOE inspection/records requirements.
  • Monitor and carry out administrative procedures as developed by the Board including attendance and conflict of interest policies, dissemination of policy advice and recommendations, and ground and operating rules; seek clarification with DOE HAB Coordinator and leadership as necessary to avoid duplication with DOE staff.
