About the job

Requirements
  • Completed vocational training as a train driver.
  • Valid train-driver license: TfV Class A+B1 or VDV 753 Class 3.
  • Very good German language skills at least at B2 level.
  • Availability for shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to stay overnight when assigned to other cities.
Responsibilities
  • Operate passenger train journeys independently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Drive trains from Berlin across the nationwide FlixTrain network.
  • Communicate reliably with the control center, colleagues, and passengers.
  • Ensure safe, punctual, and economical train operations.
  • Perform preparatory and concluding tasks to ensure operational readiness.
  • Support Flix in shift operations, including weekends and public holidays, within flexible schedules.
  • Contribute to positive and professional passenger communication.
Desired Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in railway operations, preferably passenger transport.
  • Experience operating locomotive-hauled passenger trains, ideally BR 193 or BR 182; training may be provided.
  • LZB and ETCS examination certificates; training may be provided.
  • Knowledge of routes in the candidate's region.
  • Strong safety awareness and sense of responsibility, service orientation, and teamwork.
  • Motivation to contribute to sustainable mobility.
