Requirements
  • A postsecondary degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience is required, including at least 5 years in a senior or lead technical role focused on design, implementation, and maintenance in an enterprise or hybrid cloud environment.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, and Terraform Associate certifications are required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, networking, identity, automation, monitoring, and cost optimization, is required.
  • Expertise across networking, compute, storage, virtualization, identity, and security is required.
  • A deep understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, high availability, scalability, and resilience patterns is required.
  • The candidate must be able to think strategically about infrastructure needs and align them with organizational goals.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, Azure or Amazon Web Services cloud computing, networking, and data center operations is required.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Domain Name System, firewalls, and virtual networking is required.
  • Experience supporting and integrating Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Office 365 within enterprise environments is required.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for an enterprise hybrid environment is required.
  • Working knowledge of security best practices, audit and compliance frameworks, and zero-trust principles is required.
  • The candidate must be able to lead teams, provide expert advice, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical executive stakeholders.
  • Strong project planning, control, budget management, and architectural governance skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving approach are required.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain cloud architecture governance, including resource standards, tagging conventions, cost controls, and security guardrails.
  • Lead long-term infrastructure roadmap strategic planning in partnership with enterprise architecture and business leadership.
  • Build scalable, secure, and cost-optimized environments supporting Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Office 365.
  • Lead end-to-end capacity forecasting and scaling strategies.
  • Oversee enterprise performance engineering, capacity planning, and automated scaling strategies to ensure high availability and resilience.
  • Establish proactive observability and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar tools.
  • Lead enterprise automation initiatives using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and infrastructure as code with Terraform and Bicep.
  • Strengthen the organization's security posture through identity management, access control, encryption, and data protection.
  • Maintain enterprise disaster recovery, backup, and failover plans supporting business continuity in a hybrid environment.
  • Establish reliability engineering practices such as service-level indicators, service-level objectives, error budgets, and post-incident reviews.
  • Lead architecture reviews and technical governance boards to ensure alignment with engineering standards.
  • Establish and oversee lifecycle management for infrastructure platforms, including patching strategy, end-of-life planning, and modernization.
  • Operate as the technical lead for infrastructure delivery, mentoring engineers and guiding solution design and implementation.
  • Lead major incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive long-term corrective actions across teams.
  • Define and maintain infrastructure standards, patterns, and documentation for consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Align infrastructure strategies and operations with compliance and audit standards, ensuring policies are followed and controls are enforced.
  • Own key components of the infrastructure modernization roadmap and lead feasibility evaluations, proofs of concept, and adoption strategies.
  • Work with architecture, development, and data teams to plan environments, coordinate releases, and maintain readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, senior management, and external vendors to define requirements, provide expert advice, and ensure effective project delivery and issue resolution.
  • Interact with vendors and managed service providers, ensure service-level agreements are met, and evaluate vendor capabilities against strategic objectives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert certification is an asset.
