Wildtype Foods focuses on producing lab-grown seafood, specifically clean salmon, using a method that replicates the natural growth process of wild salmon. Their production system resembles a brewery, where the salmon are nurtured with the same nutrients found in the wild. This approach allows Wildtype to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional seafood, addressing the environmental concerns associated with overfishing and ocean depletion. Unlike competitors, Wildtype targets a diverse clientele, including restaurants and environmentally-conscious consumers, promoting accessibility to sustainable seafood options. The company's goal is to alleviate pressure on ocean ecosystems while providing a viable solution for the growing demand for seafood.
