Roetzel & Andress is proud to announce that associate Abigail Burke has been named a 2026 30 for the Future honoree by the Greater Akron Chamber (GAC). The annual program recognizes young professionals who demonstrate professional accomplishments, leadership and a commitment to the Greater Akron community. "Abby's commitment to Greater Akron is evident in both her legal practice and the time and energy she devotes to organizations throughout the community," said Justin Markey, Roetzel's shareholder-in-charge of the Akron office. "She has chosen to build her career here and is already making a meaningful impact on the region. We are proud to see her recognized among this year's 30 for the Future honorees." Burke practices public law and public finance, advising governmental and public-sector clients on governance, regulatory compliance and public finance transactions. She serves as bond counsel to port authorities and other public bodies, helping structure and close transactions that support infrastructure, economic development and public improvement projects. Before entering the legal profession, Burke worked in politics and public service at the national level, including on several U.S. Senate campaigns. After working in Washington, D.C., and on national political campaigns, she returned to Akron to establish her legal career and become more involved in the community. A graduate of Miami University and The University of Akron School of Law, Burke's professional and community involvement reflects her commitment to Greater Akron and Northeast Ohio. Burke was selected from a competitive pool of more than 100 nominees. An independent selection committee facilitated by the GAC selected this year's 30 honorees based on professional accomplishments, leadership and community service.
