  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Virology, Microbiology, or related field
  • 12+ years post-PhD experience (at least 5 years in industry)
  • Research experience in vaccines (especially influenza and/or SARS-CoV-2) or in the development of adjuvant systems
  • Strong expertise in immunological techniques and assay design/development
  • Proficient in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Extensive knowledge of vaccine technologies, adjuvant formulations, and immune response mechanisms
  • Experience in designing and conducting preclinical and/or clinical studies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Responsibilities
  • Support and facilitate the design, development, and evaluation of vaccine candidates
  • Engage in the active development, optimization, and implementation of immunoassays for vaccine antigens
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate the immunogenicity, efficacy, and safety of vaccine candidates and immune enhancers
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, and present findings to internal stakeholders and external scientific communities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize vaccine and adjuvant formulations
  • Effectively handle multiple projects and deliverables
  • Provide scientific expertise and guidance to junior scientists and research associates
  • Conduct in-depth literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in immunology, vaccine technologies, and adjuvant formulations
  • Stay informed about regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in vaccine and adjuvant development
