Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related Engineering degree is required; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the industrial, manufacturing, or commercial construction market, or experience in the renewable energy market as described in the alternate requirement.
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel availability of 20–40%.
  • Availability to work typical hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with work at any time or day of the week as business needs require.
  • Employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Generate new business, network, and establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Plan construction projects and oversee their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner, including budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling.
  • Provide complete and satisfactory execution of projects while working directly with the project superintendent and other team members.
  • Lead the engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout phases of projects.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented and followed.
  • Promote the company's safety culture throughout all phases of projects.
  • Develop turnkey project schedules.
  • Organize and coordinate work sequencing and schedule coordination with the field team.
  • Work with the Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material coordination.
  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical, automation, and manufacturing execution systems construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to customer expectations.
  • Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department for accuracy, prepare or assist with bid packages for solicitation, and generate the engineering, procurement, and construction estimate.
  • Visit job sites and interact with owners, developers, partners, site leadership, engineers, consultants, crews, and subcontractors to ensure project progress and support safe behavior.
  • Delegate to direct reports using appropriate control systems to ensure accountability and prevent decision-making bottlenecks.
  • Coach and develop talent and select and train team members.
  • Monitor work flow between the unit and other parts of the organization, recommend improvements, convey functional and business strategies and the corporate mission, and foster cross-functional collaboration to accelerate work processes.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Primavera Scheduling and Construction Administration Software proficiency is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in the renewable energy market and one year of construction estimating experience are described as desired.
  • On-site construction experience is a plus.
