Requirements
  • A college diploma (DEC) in electronics technology or a related field is required.
  • Five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience validating electronic systems, from defining test plans through documenting results, is required.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems is required.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues permanently is required.
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment is required.
  • Ability to identify initiatives that improve production efficiency is required.
  • Ability to analyze test data and identify trends affecting product quality and manufacturing yield is required.
  • Strong technical writing ability and the ability to document tests, investigations, and engineering recommendations are required.
  • Ability to work in a configuration-controlled environment and manage hardware, software, and documentation revisions is required.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-moving environment and work with ambiguity is required.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts orally and in writing to different audiences is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare test procedures, execute tests, and document results for the MAD-XR product and associated equipment.
  • Develop reference expertise in production testing processes and identify and participate in implementing improvements to processes and test equipment.
  • Support inspector technicians in troubleshooting MAD-XR sensors that fail production tests, including independently conducting troubleshooting tests on sensors and subcomponents when necessary.
  • Help prepare technical documentation for customers, including test procedures for verifying project requirements.
  • Support initiatives to improve product reliability and mission success.
  • Work closely with and support the production team by identifying issues and proposing solutions that resolve them permanently.
  • Contribute to identifying and implementing strategies to increase production test success rates.
  • Support the hardware development manager and project leads in ensuring solutions are coherent, functional, and aligned with MAD-XR program delivery milestones.
  • Interact with electronics, production, planning, and procurement teams, as well as external suppliers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience integrating electronic and software components is an asset.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
