About the job
- A Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate is required.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- A valid driver's license and clean abstract are required.
- Commission electrical systems to support safe, reliable startup and operation.
- Construct, modify, repair, and test electrical components and systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-, medium-, and high-voltage equipment.
- Perform work in industrial environments, including around energized power and control equipment, while maintaining strict safety standards.
- Mentor, coach, and support electrical apprentices and team members to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
- Select appropriate materials and ensure installations meet the Canadian Electrical Code and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate construction, maintenance, and quality documentation.
- Support Shermco's safety culture through proactive safety reporting, client audits and inspections, and adherence to company policies.
- Commissioning experience with electrical systems is a strong asset.
- Experience working in industrial and/or commercial environments is preferred.
- Industrial facility safe work qualifications or training are an asset.
- Industrial safety certifications and training are an asset.
