Irving-based Shermco, a leading provider of electrical testing, engineering, maintenance, and repair, is being sold to private equity funds affiliated with New York-based Blackstone (NYSE: BX) in a deal valued at roughly $1.6 billion.
Gryphon Investors announced the sale of Shermco to Blackstone for approximately $1.6 billion. Shermco, a leader in electrical testing and maintenance, has seen significant growth under Gryphon's ownership since 2018. Blackstone plans to enhance Shermco's operational efficiencies and support future growth through add-on acquisitions. Harris Williams and Kirkland & Ellis advised on the transaction.
