Requirements
- At least 6 years of Java/J2EE experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java Enterprise Edition or the Spring Framework.
- Strong experience with one or more object-relational mapping technologies, such as Hibernate or Java Persistence API.
- Demonstrated success in building design patterns and applying software engineering best practices.
- Experience with automated unit-testing technologies such as JUnit or Spock.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational database modeling and design.
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a lead developer or leading a team of Java developers.
- Commercial software development experience and/or healthcare industry experience.
- Understanding of core object-oriented programming and systems concepts, Java Enterprise Edition design patterns, and their implementation in real-world applications.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with XML and JSON, and developing SOAP and REST services using Apache CXF or a comparable framework.
- Experience with Java Messaging.
- Strong experience with projects requiring application re-engineering and modernization.
