About the job

Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or structured credit spanning investment or trading and/or operational or infrastructure roles.
  • A track record of building a new business line, platform, or operational capability from zero to one.
  • Strong commercial understanding of business models, incentive structures, and go-to-market strategies, with comfort owning a profit and loss statement and moving from investment phase to revenue.
  • Deep understanding of private credit operational mechanics, including assignment agreements, settlement workflows, agent processes, and the lifecycle from origination through secondary transfer and servicing.
  • Experience with institutional electronic trading and counterparties such as market makers, exchanges, custodians, and prime brokers, including their connections for execution, clearing, and settlement.
  • Experience with market structure or infrastructure buildouts in adjacent asset classes such as syndicated loans, collateralized loan obligations, and asset-backed securities.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills, high execution discipline, and comfort operating with significant ambiguity.
Responsibilities
  • Develop transfer and settlement solutions that move private credit from manual, consent-driven assignment processes toward automated, near-real-time transfer with authoritative digital records for each asset.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle from origination through secondary transfer and servicing, removing friction from assignment agreements, agent processes, and settlement workflows.
  • Extend custody and collateral mechanics to private assets in traditional and tokenized forms so positions can be held, financed, and mobilized with public-market reliability.
  • Advance settlement models, including delivery versus payment, to reduce counterparty and operational risk.
  • Lead Apollo's market structure strategy across data standardization, index development, secondary trading infrastructure, and digital transfer and settlement.
  • Ensure seamless data integration throughout the asset lifecycle, including integration with ICE Private Credit Intelligence and Apollo's internal systems.
  • Develop pricing transparency, liquidity access, execution, and venue connectivity for efficient transactions in traditional and tokenized private assets.
  • Assess and shape Apollo's approach to tokenization and prime-brokerage models.
  • Interface with originators, asset managers, market makers, custodians, and prime brokers to drive adoption of new technologies and platforms.
  • Own the commercial model and profit and loss across market structure and platform initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with LSTA protocols, ClearPar, or LXID/CUSIP infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with digital asset market structure, including custody, tokenization, on-chain settlement, and prime brokerage.
  • Experience with data-licensing business models.

About the company

Apollo Global Management invests money for pension funds, insurers, wealthy individuals and its own retirement business, with most of its assets in private credit, meaning loans arranged directly with companies rather than bought on public markets. It also runs private equity and real estate funds, and its buyout teams have a long record of backing troubled or complex companies. Apollo owns Athene, a retirement insurer that sells annuities and gives the premiums to Apollo to invest, so the firm earns fees from clients plus the spread between Athene's investment returns and what it pays policyholders. Apollo was founded in 1990 and is based in New York.

What critics are saying

What makes Apollo Global unique

  • Apollo owns its biggest client: it managed $415.7 billion for retirement insurer Athene as of June 2026.
  • Insurance spreads earn as much as fund fees: Q2 2026 spread earnings were $877 million versus $785 million in fees.
  • Lending, not buyouts, drives Apollo: 86% of its fee-earning assets sit in private credit.

General Atlantic prepares IPO that could value asset manager at US$ 10 billion.

General Atlantic prepares IPO that could value asset manager at US$ 10 billion. American company resumes plans to go public in the first half of 2027 to finance business expansion Chat with Read the article summary General Atlantic, the American asset manager that manages more than US$ 130 billion in assets, has resumed plans to go public. The company is expected to be valued at up to US$ 10 billion in its initial public offering (IPO). The company had already taken the first steps toward a listing in 2023, but postponed the operation due to market conditions. Now, the offering is planned for the first half of 2027, according to information from the Financial Times (FT). The move is part of General Atlantic's strategy to finance business expansion and gain scale to compete with publicly traded rivals such as Blackstone, KKR and Apollo Global Management, in a private investment market estimated at US$ 24 trillion. Known for investing in technology and high-growth companies, the asset manager was one of the first investors in companies such as Facebook and Alibaba. In Latin America, General Atlantic has a history of investments in companies such as Mercado Livre, XP Investimentos, QuintoAndar and Kavak, a Mexican platform for buying and selling used vehicles. Follow Neofeed on social media and get more information. In the Brazilian market, it has also invested in businesses such as Neon, QI Tech, Arco Educação and Unico, in sectors ranging from financial services to education and technology. Over the last few years, General Atlantic has also expanded its operations beyond investments in growth companies. The asset manager acquired Iron Park Capital, specialized in credit, and Actis, focused on infrastructure, in addition to advancing into segments such as secondary investments and reinsurance. According to the FT, going public would allow it to accelerate this diversification and expand its service structure for institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. The company also seeks to take advantage of interest in funds that invest in expanding companies without necessarily taking control of the businesses, in contrast to leveraged buyout deals. More recently, the asset manager even considered a stock market debut in the fourth quarter of 2026. However, it again postponed the plans due to factors such as market volatility and the geopolitical and macroeconomic context. In this scenario, the new timeline would allow the company to evaluate its 2026 financial results and the performance of a potential IPO by Anthropic before moving ahead with its own offering. There is still no definitive decision on the transaction, and the timeline may undergo further changes, according to the FT. General Atlantic did not comment on the matter. Chat with
