Senior Product Designer

The Opportunity 

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative and user-centered solutions for our industry leading cybersecurity products.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, designers and other stakeholders to translate complex challenges into intuitive user experiences. You thrive in technical environments and care about optimizing the best experience through qualitative and quantitative data, all to support a highly technical end user. You have a high bar for quality, know what great design is and can execute from thorough research to stunning visual design. You understand the importance of delivery at a startup, you know when something is good enough vs when it’s an opportunity to differentiate and push design boundaries.

Your work will have a direct impact on the usability and adoption of our product. You will work with a talented design team, a strong product and have the space to push the boundaries of design for the cybersecurity industry.

What You Can Expect to Do:

• Apply UX best practices to solve complex workflows, including wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create and Inspire the team with innovative future looking design concepts.
• Ability to contribute heavily to an evolving design system, with the opportunity to expand our design language.
• Design features from 0-1, while also contributing to features with existing constraints.
• Hold a high bar for quality and consistency, while balancing the ability to output with speed.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as design systems and style guides to ensure consistency.
• Thinks systematically, considers the future of a features lifecycle when designing.
• Run and moderate design sprints for in person and remote problem solving.
• Set success metrics, track performance, and conduct usability reviews or user research for your features in production to identify future improvements and new features.

• Work closely with your product team (product manager, engineering manager, engineers, and architects to understand/contribute to the roadmap.
• Maintain a transparent and pragmatic design culture by conducting regular syncs with the Design team for design critiques, design jams, design papercuts, and cross collaborative sharing.

What we Hope You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of product design experience, executing the full UX lifecycle for product features, including experience with one or more of the following:
• Experience working directly in Cybersecurity industry
• Experience working in the Identity access management industry
• Enterprise designing for enterprise B2B / SaaS software
• A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in leading design projects from concept to launch, preferably in complex problem solving in cybersecurity.
• Drive, enthusiasm and experience designing in a fast-growth startup environment.
• Ability to design strategically and tactically; proven ability to design a long-term vision and break work down into incremental value.
• A real care for our users, true empathy to listen and understand customer problems.
• Strong collaborator with product management, engineering, and product marketing.
• Strong application and delivery of practical ux methods, you know how to work efficiently and collaborate in lower fidelity applications.
• Strong visual design skills, you’re someone who cares about understanding what’s new in the design world, and isn’t afraid to push its limits into product.
• Ability to find the balance between business needs and customer needs.
• Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize your efforts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design decisions and rationale clearly.
• Strong leadership skills, including excitement and ability to mentor other designers.
