About the job
- A motor vehicle driver's license valid in New York State with no restrictions that would preclude performance of Maintenance Supervisor (Electronic Equipment) work, maintained throughout employment.
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the maintenance department of a major railroad or transit authority repairing and maintaining electronic communication or control systems, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Design, schedule, and conduct training on Radio, closed-circuit television, and Security systems.
- Create preventive and remedial maintenance procedures.
- Perform required administrative and technical tasks, including updating the department's shared drive.
- Conduct employee evaluations.
- Support existing Radio, closed-circuit television, and Security systems, in-house contracts, capital contracts, and other Radio and Security Systems assets in current and future operations.
- Supervise in-house installations and storerooms.
- Order materials and equipment.
- Provide supervisory oversight of Level I Supervisors to ensure safe and efficient 24/7 operations.
- Experience conducting training on Radio, closed-circuit television, Security, and Network equipment.
- Experience creating preventive and remedial maintenance procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of working in an operating environment responsible for the maintenance and repair of electronic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, test equipment, procedures, and an enterprise asset management database.
- Working knowledge of New York City Transit rules, regulations, operations, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
