AGCO Corporation showcases new hydraulic singulation chute for Massey Ferguson SB.1436DB small square baler.

AGCO Corporation showcases new hydraulic singulation chute for Massey Ferguson SB.1436DB small square baler. Published on 10/26/2026 at 11:36 am EDT S&P Capital IQ AGCO Corporation showcased a new hydraulic singulation chute for the Massey Ferguson(R) SB.1436DB small square baler during the 2026 Farm Progress Show. By placing two bales into a single straight row, the new chute helps commercial hay producers substantially reduce collection passes versus a double-wide chute that is also available for the MFSB.1436DB baler, saving time, fuel and labor during critical harvest windows. With the ability to produce two 14-by-18-inch bales at a time, the MF SB.1436DB already delivers exceptional productivity for commercial hay producers. The new chute carries that efficiency through the next stage of the job, helping farmers achieve better productivity from baling through bale collection without additional passes. As two bales leave the chamber, the hydraulic system propels one bale forward followed by the second, positioning them into a single row for collection. Adjustable paddles allow the system to accommodate different bale lengths and control when each side advances its bale. The system connects to a hydraulic pump on the MF SB.1436DB and can be run with only one additional hydraulic hose from the tractor to raise and lower the chute. A patent-pending trailing design with caster wheels and suspension allows the chute to follow the baler and float over changing field terrain. For transport, operators can hydraulically raise and lock the chute into position. Serviceability was also built into the design. Raising and locking the chute provides access for maintenance underneath, while spliced conveyor belts add additional operator convenience. (C) S&P Capital IQ - 2026

Massey Ferguson unveils baler chute that cuts bale collection passes by up to 50%

AGCO has introduced a hydraulic singulation chute for its Massey Ferguson SB.1436DB small square baler, which it showed at the 2026 Farm Progress Show. The chute places two bales into a single straight row, cutting bale collection passes by up to 50%. The baler makes two 14-by-18-inch bales at a time. As they leave the chamber, the hydraulic system pushes one bale forward, then the second. Adjustable paddles handle different bale lengths. The chute needs only one extra hydraulic hose from the tractor. A patent-pending trailing design with caster wheels and suspension lets it float over uneven terrain. Raising and locking the chute gives access for maintenance and secures it for transport.
