Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in good standing in the state or states of practice.
  • One year of experience under the nursing license.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and certified nursing assistant leadership.
  • Ability to work independently with phone, email, written communication, meetings with healthcare professionals, and hospice rules and regulations.
  • Time management skills to manage visits, documentation, meetings, urgent needs, prioritization, and triage of multiple concerns.
  • Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
  • Willingness to drive with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
  • Availability to work Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Provide care and services to a group of hospice patients in private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
  • Complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed.
  • Answer calls from patients, families, and customers.
  • Make nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions as needed.
  • Advocate for hospice services and Suncrest Hospice.
