Belkin's new gadget is a power bank, night light, and SOS signal all in one. Published 2 hours ago A multitalented gadget * Belkin has launched a new power bank that also includes a light * This can function as a night light, a fill light, or even an SOS signal * The power bank has a 10,000mAh capacity, but currently it's only available in China It can be hard to stand out when launching a new power bank, but Belkin has certainly tried with the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Power Bank 10K, which is capable of much more than just charging your phone. Beyond packing 10,000mAh of power, it also includes a pop-out LED light, complete with a motion sensor and controls to adjust its brightness. One obvious use for this is as a bedside night light, which might be handy when staying in a hotel. But it also has a flashing mode, which helps it attract attention; in this mode, it could function as an SOS signal - which could be reassuring if you're out in the wilderness. And it could also be used as a fill light for photos and video calls, when the ambient light isn't ideal. Latest Videos From ChatGPT vs. Claude 0 seconds of 1 minute, 29 seconds Volume 0% AI Planned It, Ep 2 Compact and capable. Beyond that, this Belkin power bank has a built-in braided USB-C cable and a USB-C port, so you can charge two devices at once. It outputs 45W of power; if you're charging two devices, the primary device gets 30W, and the other gets 15W. It also has a small circular display showing the remaining battery percentage. This screen also contains controls for the LED light - a light which is unlikely to draw much power, so you hopefully won't be sacrificing much charging potential by using it. It comes in at 118 x 60 x 32mm and 257g, so the light doesn't appear to add much weight or bulk, but sadly it's only available in China for now, with JD.com listing it for 329 yuan (roughly $50 / £35 / AU$70). Since Belkin has a global presence, though, this may well launch elsewhere too. Belkin and Rugged Science deliver Mission-Ready Secure Workstations for multi-enclave defense operations. Secure KVM workstations are essential for defense, government, intelligence, and critical infrastructure environments where operators need controlled access to multiple networks from a single console. Rugged Science and Belkin Cybersecurity are working together to deliver compact, mission-ready workstation architectures that combine rugged computing platforms with secure KVM technology designed for government and defense use. This collaboration brings together Belkin's cybersecurity experience with Rugged Science's rugged computing expertise to support secure, efficient workflows across environments such as NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, coalition networks, and specialized mission systems. These configurations are designed for teams that require multi-enclave access, strict data separation, operator efficiency, and dependable computing hardware in demanding operational settings. To review the full solution overview, download the Belkin and Rugged Science Mission-Ready Secure Workstations brochure. Why secure multi-enclave workstations matter. Modern defense operations often require personnel to move between classified, unclassified, coalition, and mission-specific systems throughout the day. Without the right architecture, this can lead to crowded workspaces, duplicated peripherals, inefficient workflows, and increased operational complexity. A secure KVM workstation allows a single operator to access multiple computers or network domains while maintaining separation between those systems. When paired with rugged computers, rugged servers, and mission-ready edge computing platforms, secure KVM solutions can support command centers, SCIFs, tactical operations centers, mobile command vehicles, cyber operations environments, maritime systems, and defense infrastructure. Rugged Science previously announced its partnership with Belkin for secure mission-ready computing. The expanded solution set now highlights multiple workstation configurations built around Rugged Science platforms and Belkin Secure KVM technologies. MILAXON 4000 and Belkin Secure KVM for multi-network defense operations. One featured configuration combines the MILAXON 4000 rugged military embedded computer with the Belkin 4-Port Dual-Head DP Modular Secure KVM. This architecture is designed for operators who need secure access to multiple network enclaves while maintaining centralized control through a compact workstation. The MILAXON 4000 provides rugged, fanless computing with support for up to four independent 4K displays, front-access storage, high-speed networking, and configurable I/O. When paired with Belkin's secure KVM technology, the system can support secure switching between multiple computers while helping preserve data separation and operator efficiency. Typical use cases. * Command and control workstations * Secure operations centers * Naval and maritime control environments * Mission planning consoles * Multi-network defense workstations MILSYNAPSE 4000 and Belkin MultiClave for secure cyber operations. For compact deployments and mission-critical edge environments, the MILSYNAPSE 4000 ultra-compact rugged military computer can be paired with the Belkin MultiClave Secure KVM. This configuration is designed for users who need to view or manage multiple sensitive networks from a streamlined operator station. The MILSYNAPSE 4000 supports fanless operation, wide-temperature deployment, triple-display output, Intel Core Ultra processing, TPM 2.0, TSN support, and compact mounting options. Combined with Belkin MultiClave secure KVM capabilities, the platform is well suited for cyber operations, secure communications, vehicle control systems, mobile command environments, and space-constrained mission systems. Common deployment environments. * Cybersecurity operations centers * Secure communications workstations * Vehicle-mounted mission systems * Mobile command platforms * Edge-deployed defense computing NOMAD rugged server and Belkin Universal Secure KVM. For larger compute requirements, Rugged Science pairs the NOMAD Series 2U Rugged Rack Mount Server with Belkin's Universal 2nd Gen Secure KVM. This configuration provides high-performance rugged server capability with secure multi-network access from a single operator workstation. The NOMAD 2U platform supports scalable processing, high-capacity DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen5 expansion, front-removable storage, and flexible I/O options. Paired with secure KVM technology, it can support SCIFs, tactical operations centers, mobile command centers, defense data environments, and industrial mission systems where secure access and rugged reliability are both required. For organizations evaluating broader rugged server architectures, Rugged Science also offers a full portfolio of rugged rack mount servers for military, industrial, maritime, and edge computing applications. Bringing cybersecurity and Rugged computing together. Belkin Secure KVM technologies are designed for secure government and defense workstation environments, while Rugged Science platforms are engineered for harsh operational conditions where uptime, lifecycle support, and system integration matter. Together, these solutions help reduce workstation complexity while supporting strict network separation and dependable operator access. This approach is especially valuable for teams working across multiple enclaves. Instead of relying on separate monitors, keyboards, mice, and computers for each network, organizations can deploy an integrated secure workstation architecture designed to improve workspace efficiency while supporting cybersecurity requirements. Rugged Science platforms can also be configured for specialized interfaces, expansion cards, storage requirements, networking options, and lifecycle needs. For defense programs that require legacy and modern interface support, resources such as MIL-STD-1553 integration guidance can help engineering teams evaluate system-level requirements early in the design process.
