Requirements
  • Personally built or significantly modified an artificial intelligence agent harness and can describe the trade-offs made.
  • Understand how an agent's system prompt, skills, and tools interact on diverse and complex problems, and have tuned that interplay directly.
  • Built custom skills, commands, command-line interfaces, or model context protocol servers to accelerate agentic coding.
  • Use agentic coding as a daily workflow and have stress-tested models and harnesses across the frontier.
  • Apply systems thinking, make hard technical trade-offs, and design for failures at scale.
  • Ship quickly while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Have a genuine interest in how artificial intelligence works, including reading research papers and forming opinions about evaluations.
  • Work remotely and participate in asynchronous collaboration, with in-person gatherings a few times a year.
  • Use Python.
Responsibilities
  • Build the agent runtime loop so the agent plans, acts, and verifies its own work.
  • Engineer context by shaping how the system prompt, skills, memory, and tools combine and perform across diverse and complex problems.
  • Improve the agent's fluency with tools through composition across integrations, recall, and skill files.
  • Expand the agent's capabilities through trustworthy memory, self-written skills, and autonomous work execution.
  • Improve the agent measurably through evaluations, regression detection, and converting failures into fixes.
  • Ship product features to users through Slack and Microsoft Teams within hours.
  • Build whatever is needed across the product's broad technical surface.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous artificial intelligence engineering experience with agents, harnesses, or evaluation infrastructure.
  • Previous founder or early-stage builder experience.
  • Open-source contributions to artificial intelligence tooling.

Viktor is a Slack-native AI coworker that executes operational and growth tasks across a company’s software stack by integrating with 3,000+ tools such as CRM, ads, analytics, billing, and project management systems. It runs inside Slack to automate workflows and deliver structured outputs like PDFs, spreadsheets, dashboards, and deployed internal tools, all without leaving a single interface. The system retains organizational context, learns company processes, and suggests automations based on usage, serving growth, marketing, support, and engineering teams. Its goal is to reduce manual work for startups and scaling teams by handling recurring business processes, campaign optimization, analytics reporting, CRM updates, and cross-platform audits with minimal manual intervention.

AI startup Viktor raises $75M to embed virtual 'coworker' in Slack and Teams

Viktor, an AI startup co-founded by former Meta engineers Fryderyk Wiatrowski and Peter Albert, has raised $75 million in a Series A round led by Accel Partners. The funding included participation from Bek Ventures, Kaya VC and Tenacity Capital, plus angel investors including Slack co-founders Stewart Butterfield and Cal Henderson. The company has developed an AI agent that operates as a virtual coworker within Slack and Microsoft Teams, connecting to business systems like Google Drive, Meta Ads and Shopify. Viktor can execute tasks, build internal apps and suggest workflow improvements. Three months after launching publicly in February, the startup reports $15 million in annualised revenue and over 2,000 organisations using its product. The company offers a free tier alongside credit-based subscriptions, with some teams spending more on Viktor than on junior employees.
