Requirements
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested.
  • Ability to examine building layouts, anticipate installation and repair difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain service vehicles, including keeping service records and scheduling repairs.
  • Ability to inspect equipment for signs of wear and report findings to customers or the Operations Manager.
  • Ability to complete job paperwork and maintain files, including recording time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractor, and cost data.
  • Ability to determine repair parts and order them according to need and timing.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Ability to provide technical support to customers.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to meet regular travel requirements, including some overnight travel.
Responsibilities
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness.
  • Maintain vehicles by keeping service records, scheduling service, and completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain equipment by inspecting it for signs of wear and notifying the customer or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document work by completing paperwork for each job and maintaining required files.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and return unused resources.
  • Submit all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
