Requirements
  • A high school degree or equivalency is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid driver's license.
  • Basic experience with personal computers and peripherals is required.
  • Must have dependable transportation to the customer site.
  • Must be located in the Houston, Texas area because of the onsite engagement.
  • Must provide a punctual, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Must have good communication skills and be willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
Responsibilities
  • Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues, including personal computers and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot information technology systems and applications.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of onsite information technology systems and networks.
  • Collaborate with the IT Voice technical support team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain documentation of information technology systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide first-level technical information systems support to the university community and resolve routine technical problems.
  • Represent IT Voice virtually and in person when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is favorable.
  • One to two years of support experience and willingness to learn are favorable.
