Responsibilities
- Work alongside traders, quantitative researchers, and other developers to design and build reliable, timely, and accurate data and analytics for trading and research teams.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy production systems.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that handle terabytes of exchange traffic and perform numerous real-time transformations.
- Perform analysis ranging from nanosecond-level investigations on low-latency trading systems to research on pricing algorithms and trading strategies.
- Deliver well-engineered software rapidly into production.
- Use automated testing and peer code review to ensure software quality and maintainability.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience handling large datasets and time-series data.
- Knowledge of data-engineering best practices for batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data serialization formats, messaging middleware, and data lakehouse technologies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration techniques, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of modern C++ programming.
- Experience with front-end development using React and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of financial markets and securities, especially equities and options.
- Experience using artificial-intelligence-powered tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
