Beaumont ISD shifts principals in districtwide leadership changes.

Beaumont ISD shifts principals in districtwide leadership changes. By Tessa Noble, The Beaumont Enterprise, Texas The Tribune Content Agency Updated October 16, 2026 6:26 PM Gift Article Beaumont ISD logo (Beaumont ISD) The Beaumont Independent School District is making changes to campus administration throughout the district. According to a Thursday press release, the district announced several campus leadership changes that will take effect Monday as part of an effort to better coordinate leadership, improve district systems and advance its priorities. "These leadership assignments reflect the district's commitment to strengthening campus operations, aligning leadership with district priorities, and providing consistent support for students, staff and families," stated the release. "Our focus remains on ensuring that every student is known, supported, challenged and prepared." The first change is at West Brook High School. Richard Yoes, the current chief of schools and academics, will step in as acting principal throughout the search for a permanent one. West Brook's current principal, Julie Corona, will become principal of Amelia Elementary School. "Corona previously served as an elementary school principal and brings valuable experience and a strong understanding of elementary campus leadership to her new role," the release stated. "We appreciate her leadership in supporting the opening of the school year at West Brook and look forward to welcoming her to the Amelia Elementary community." Amelia Elementary School's current principal, Sharina Hubbard, will become principal of Marshall Middle School. Current Marshall interim principal Billye Ardoin will remain at Marshall as a campus administrator. The district said Hubbard has previous experience in secondary campus leadership... "We look forward to the leadership and perspective she will bring to the Marshall community as she supports students, staff and families," the district stated. Next, Dr. Lori Threats, the current principal of the Career & Technical Education Center, will move to West Brook to support its campus leadership. Dr. Donna Prudhomme, the current director of college, career and military readiness, will take over leadership of the CTEC as part of her current role. Finally, Dr. Joseph Bowser, the current principal of Pathways Learning Center, will also move to West Brook to support its campus leadership. Dr. Diana Valdez, the current director of student behavior, will serve as acting principal at Pathways. This story was originally published October 16, 2026 at 6:20 PM.
