Requirements

At least 3 years of directly related experience and/or training in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience.
Experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to use Microsoft Office core applications, Google, Slack, and Jira or other management platforms and software.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
Ability to maintain and manage confidential information.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must submit to a background check.
Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications.

Responsibilities

Supervise production employees and assist with planning, assigning, and directing work.
Ensure production teams understand and execute standard operating procedures, and receive ongoing training based on procedure updates.
Oversee team-member scheduling and delegate work throughout the day.
Complete employee reviews according to company timelines and procedures.
Oversee daily production operations.
Assist the Kitchen Manager in planning production and kitchen schedules to fulfill required goals.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace, and ensure Production Support teams understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop standard operating procedures and implement processes.
Maintain and verify inventory of packaging supplies.
Complete and submit all required reports accurately and efficiently.
Maintain high-quality standards during shifts through ongoing quality assurance and quality control of products being prepared and produced, including product weights, appearance, and flavor profile.
Evaluate operational performance and improve procedures or work practices to elevate product quality.
Perform and monitor all aspects of quality control in production.
Ensure accuracy in kitchen data, counts, measurements, and weights.
Ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations, including health and safety standards.
Ensure proper storage of facility consumables and products, including storing food products in compliance with safety practices.
Perform quality inspections on products as assigned.
Minimize waste where possible.
Communicate information effectively and respond to questions and suggestions from various levels within the company.
Assist Managers in training and coaching employees on proper procedures, techniques, and compliance protocols.
Communicate quality or safety discrepancies to management.
Make recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and team-member training.
Assist Department Managers as needed.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Desired Qualifications

Food or beverage production or manufacturing experience is preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced work environment is preferred.
Experience with Jira or other management platforms and software is preferred.
A ServSafe certification or Food Handler’s Card is preferred.

Summary
The Production Supervisor is an integral part of the hiring, training, and development of production employees. This role manages production leads and support employees; overseeing all aspects of production including digital logs, maintaining daily production flow, and ensuring all quotas are enforced and goals are met. The Production Supervisor will need to understand processes in all production departments; kitchen, packaging, and inventory and have the ability to manage these departments interchangeably. They will be expected to set standard and coordinate functions through clear communication with team members, while working closely with management to ensure all functions are achieved. This role must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Supervise Production employees and assist with planning, assigning, and directing work
- Ensure Production teams understand and execute standard operating procedures, and have ongoing training based on SOP updates
- Oversee scheduling for team members, and delegation of work throughout the day
- Complete Employee Reviews based on company timelines and procedures

- Assist Kitchen Manager in planning production and kitchen schedules to fulfill required goals
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace, and ensure Production Support teams understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures
