Winch Truck Driver
About the job
- Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license with a Hazardous Materials endorsement.
- Have at least 3 years of winch experience.
- Be at least 25 years of age.
- Be able to lift 75 pounds comfortably.
- Have a safe driving history, with no major violations on a motor vehicle record or pre-employment screening program record in the last 5 years.
- Pass a Department of Transportation drug test.
- Be proficient in writing and speaking English.
- Be able to work nights.
- Be able to work outside for long periods.
- Safely drive trucks while in transport.
- Follow delivery instructions and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Operate hoists and winches to lift and pull loads.
- Monitor equipment gauges and indicators to verify load position.
- Load and unload materials using equipment and machines, and properly secure materials to the trailer.
- Repair, maintain, and adjust equipment using hand tools.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations regarding dangerous goods transport.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
