- At least one year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience that meets Qualified Mental Health Staff status as defined by the New York State Office of Mental Health.
- A driving record that meets the agency's Clean Driving Record Policy.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide care, rehabilitation training, support, and supervision to residents to develop or enhance community living skills.
- Provide teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented supports in accordance with OMH 593 and 595, including assertiveness and self-advocacy training, community integration and resource development, daily living skills, health services, medication management training, parenting training, rehabilitative counseling, skill development, socialization, substance abuse services, and symptom management.
- Ensure each resident on the caseload receives comprehensive, person-centered planning for admission, ongoing recovery-oriented services, and discharge, with plans complete and up to date according to standards of practice and New York State Office of Mental Health requirements.
- Observe, monitor, document, and report resident behaviors and progress according to agency standards.
- Assist residents with preparing nutritious meals, including food preparation when needed.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and supporting recreational activities.
- Safely transport residents when needed.
- Complete household chores assigned by the supervisor to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Supervise and document resident medications according to agency policies.
- Perform duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the community residence.
- Perform medication coordinator roles and provide leadership, supervision, and training related to medication supervision, policies, systems, and standards.
- Supervise the program in the Residential Supervisor's absence, including resident care, staff, and the physical plant.
- Assist with the interviewing process and make hiring recommendations to the supervisor.
- Attend required staff meetings and trainings and work as a member of the residential team for each resident.
- Provide relevant input for treatment team meetings, staff meetings, continued stay reviews, and other relevant meetings.
- Assist the manager in maintaining positive relationships with the community, outside service providers, and family members to foster community involvement and participation.
- Share in the program's on-call responsibilities as designated by the Residential Supervisor.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred.

Pan-American Square Apartments wins Community Impact Award. SWBR Company is pleased to announce that DePaul Pan-American Square Apartments has been recognized with the 2025 Community Impact Award by the Buffalo/WNY Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. This award honors projects that make a meaningful difference in their communities through thoughtful, inclusive design. Completed earlier this year, Pan-American Square Apartments transformed a former rail corridor into a 150-unit affordable and supportive housing community in Buffalo, NY. Designed to Passive House standards, the development provides energy-efficient homes and essential services for seniors and individuals experiencing homelessness or mental illness. More than housing, it is a catalyst for community revitalization, delivering stability, sustainability, and hope for Buffalo's most vulnerable residents. Jury Comment: The integration of community-based programs and sustainable design at the Pan-American Square Apartments struck the jury. Exemplifying the criteria of the Community Award, the Pan-American Square Apartments took a holistic approach to senior living and supportive housing that will have a lasting positive impact on the WNY community. It is clear that this project will uplift and provide stability for the most vulnerable members of its community and the design team took every opportunity to maximize resources available to its residents. SWBR provided architectural, interior design, structural engineering, landscape architecture, and graphic design services for the project. The awards celebration was held Thursday, November 6 in Buffalo, NY.
