In this role, you will be the focal point of defining next-gen architecture for Apple Vision products. The position allows you to work on a wide range of topics including prototyping, hardware & silicon definition, software & algorithm development, hands-on characterization, and concept demo to executives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree minimum in Electrical engineering or related field with 3 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in engineering/signal processing/physics to enable fast mastering of display technologies. This experience can include panel design, transistor, device physics, or circuit design type backgrounds
Hand’s on lab experience including data acquisition and/or prototyping
Programming skills (examples include: python, Matlab, C, C++, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree with industry experience, or Ph.D.
Display/Camera/Sensor hardware and module experience
ISP and/or display pipeline, digital signal and image processing
Software and algorithm development
Experiences in following area is a plus - Optics - Device Physics - Machine learning
Good communication and leadership skills to work with internal and Vendor teams
Strong theoretical analysis capability & characterization or modeling experience
Demonstrate engineering passion, initiative, innovation, and creativity

Description

- Compare and scope display and optics technologies, analyze the trade-offs between performance, manufacturability and cost. - Define architecture for new display technologies with understanding of system requirement, display & optical behavior, human perception. - Define detailed specs including the display panel, driving ASICs, software/firmware algorithms and test/ calibration procedure. - Promote innovation and new technology to enhance Apple’s display performance and user experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
