Requirements
  • Candidates must have a Ph.D., DrPH, or another terminal degree in public health, communication, epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Candidates must have at least one year of prior undergraduate teaching experience.
  • Candidates must have expertise in, or demonstrated commitment to, working with students from varied backgrounds.
  • Candidates must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae highlighting courses taught, curriculum development, and pedagogical training, written statements addressing the requested prompts, and a list of three references.
Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university service.
  • Engage in scholarship and continuing professional development.
  • Incorporate experiential learning into courses.
  • Build pedagogy and curricula in ways that reflect and enhance a sense of belonging among members of the Northeastern community.
  • Teach and mentor a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference is given to candidates with backgrounds in epidemiology, health policy, health communications, or an interest in teaching introductory undergraduate courses in the United States Healthcare System and Community & Public Health.
  • A demonstrated background of excellence in teaching is preferred.
  • Experience, knowledge, and skills supporting teaching, service, and research excellence are preferred.
