About the job
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations for the automotive business.
- A proven track record in a management or leadership role for 3–5+ years.
- Experience with cycle counts or annual inventory, cost optimization, and productivity improvement.
- Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in quality tools.
- Experience in logistics service provider (LSP) management.
- Project management experience.
- Budget controlling experience.
- Negotiation and communication skills.
- Change management capability.
- Resilience and ability to lead a team under pressure.
- Drive team performance by setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage budget planning and cash flow to keep warehouse operations within budget while meeting service-level agreements.
- Implement logistics maturity standards, such as BPS and Lean, across warehouse nodes and establish standardized work processes for consistency and scalability.
- Oversee logistics service provider (LSP) management, including performance management and strategic collaboration, and serve as the primary interface for internal business units, controlling, and purchasing, as well as external stakeholders.
- Lead warehouse optimization initiatives using a continuous improvement (CIP) mindset and support or lead critical projects such as warehouse relocations and ramp-ups.
- Manage, motivate, and develop team members through coaching and talent development.
- Lead and facilitate organizational efficiency optimization and change management within warehouse functions to adapt to market shifts and business growth in the trading sector.
- Ensure a zero-harm workplace through safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and risk management; align with the LSP Safety Officer on safety initiatives, audits, corrective actions, employee awareness, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
- Experience with logistics quality standards and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
