About the job

Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience configuring and operating CA-Endevor, including inventory models, processors/generates, package and promotion rules, upgrades, maintenance, stability, and disaster-recovery readiness.
  • Experience building pipeline-as-code and Jenkins shared libraries to automate build, test, and promotion flows and enforce sequencing, approvals, and environment-specific controls.
  • Experience developing and supporting versioned wrapper interfaces around Endevor APIs or command-line interfaces, with consistent error handling, logging, and operational supportability.
  • Experience creating REXX utilities for z/OS operational automation and Python services or scripts for orchestration, integrations, evidence and metadata capture, and notifications.
  • Experience implementing least-privilege access and audit logging with RACF, ACF2, TSS, and Endevor; ensuring end-to-end commit-to-build-to-package traceability; and leading troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across Endevor, Jenkins, and wrappers.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate when uncertain, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Responsibilities
  • Engineer and govern the Endevor inventory model, including environments, systems, subsystems, types, stages, and mappings, aligned with the software development lifecycle, release governance, and separation of duties.
  • Configure and maintain processors and generate procedures for deterministic builds, including compile, link, and edit flows; copybook and include handling; and middleware hooks such as DB2, CICS, and IMS where applicable.
  • Build and maintain Endevor automation interfaces using supported APIs or command-line interfaces and custom wrapper services or scripts, including versioning, backward compatibility, error contracts, and usage standards.
  • Develop Python automation and wrapper tooling to orchestrate Endevor lifecycle actions, capture metadata and evidence, integrate with approvals, and publish results downstream. Develop REXX utilities for z/OS-side automation, including inventory queries, dataset and member validation, job and JCL generation, operational tooling, and exception reporting, integrating with wrapper interfaces where needed.
  • Implement and support Jenkins pipeline-as-code that invokes Endevor through API or command-line wrappers, manages credentials securely, submits and monitors batch steps when required, and enforces promotion sequencing.
  • Implement end-to-end traceability and provenance by mapping commit and build IDs to Endevor element and package identifiers, capturing promotion history, labeling builds and releases, and supporting audit-evidence retrieval.
  • Troubleshoot complex toolchain failures, including processor failures, package conflicts, wrapper or API errors, Jenkins pipeline breaks, and inventory drift; deliver root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
  • Define, test, and execute backup, restore, and disaster-recovery procedures for Endevor repositories, critical datasets, and wrapper components, including routine disaster-recovery exercises and validation evidence.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validate outputs, and handle operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Drive a workstream or project involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies and work with other platforms to architect and implement changes that resolve issues and modernize organizational and technology processes.
  • Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, and aligned with resiliency and security expectations.

About the company

JPMorgan Chase runs the largest bank in the United States, which serves households and small businesses as Chase and large companies, governments, and investors as J.P. Morgan. During the 2008 financial crisis it bought the failing investment bank Bear Stearns and lender Washington Mutual, and in 2023 it took over First Republic Bank after regulators seized it. Chase takes deposits and earns interest on credit cards, mortgages, and car loans, while the investment side earns fees for advising on mergers, raising money for companies, trading stocks and bonds, and managing wealth. Formed in a 2000 merger, JPMorgan Chase traces its roots to 1799 and is based in New York City.

Dimon poached Buffett's protégé Todd Combs to run $10B fund; Buffett: "at least he's going to you

JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon hired Todd Combs, a former Geico chief executive and Berkshire Hathaway investment manager, to lead a $10 billion investment group. Combs joined in December 2025 under the bank's Security and Resiliency Initiative, which aims to help companies accelerate manufacturing. Speaking at a US Chamber of Commerce event in January, Dimon said he called Warren Buffett personally. Buffett "probably wouldn't have preferred it, but he said, 'if he's going anywhere, at least he's going to you,'" Dimon said. Buffett's assistant confirmed the account. Combs had been at Berkshire since 2010 and sat on JPMorgan's board for nine years. His group has already committed $5 billion of its $10 billion allocation.

JP Morgan sees emerging market weight loss drug sales hitting $22B by 2035

JP Morgan expects weight-loss drug sales in China, India, and Brazil to reach $22 billion by 2035, up from $6.6 billion today. Usage remains low: below 0.1% in China and under 0.2% in India, against 4% to 5% in the US. Cost has been the main barrier. JP Morgan says patent cliffs, generic launches, and policy-driven price cuts are making the drugs more affordable. It expects China to pass Brazil by 2027 and reach $13.7 billion by 2035, versus $8 billion for Brazil. India is the smallest market, held back by hesitancy around injections. Eli Lilly, which said it holds about 55% of the international incretin market, stands to gain. Its China revenue grew 93% in constant currency, and it raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $85 billion to $87 billion.

Wall Street fears AI agents will drain bank deposits, but analysts say risk is overdone

Wall Street fears AI agents could pull deposits from banks, but leading analysts and executives say the risk is overblown. Bank stocks have fallen since Meta Platforms launched its Muse personal agent on September 8: Bank of America is down 18%, Charles Schwab 14%, Wells Fargo 6%, and JPMorgan Chase 5%. Agents can compare yields and recommend options, which could erode the inertia that keeps customers' money in place. If deposits move, banks may have to pay more interest, squeezing profits. Analysts Mike Mayo and Gerard Cassidy say trust matters more to customers than slightly higher returns. A Deloitte survey found 72% of bank customers hesitate to share financial data with generative AI tools. Third-quarter earnings showed no clear shift in deposits.
