Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with web browser debugging tools, including the Firebug tool suite in Firefox and Internet Explorer Developer Tools.
  • Demonstrated experience testing across different browsers and versions, specifically Internet Explorer 6–10, Firefox 3.5–latest, and Chrome.
  • Demonstrated experience testing user-interface standards such as Section 508 compliance, HTML5/CSS3, and W3C usability standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SQL to assess data before and after test transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting requirements and translating them into precise test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience building test plans and strategies and monitoring and evaluating progress toward expected results.
  • Demonstrated experience working with an Agile development team.
  • Demonstrated experience with relational database management systems, including Oracle.
Responsibilities
  • Create and execute test plans, procedures, and scenarios for unit, process, functional, and system integration testing.
  • Consult with development and requirements teams to coordinate application testing.
  • Participate in the full application testing lifecycle.
  • Recommend software for testing or bug tracking, install and configure testing environments, and provide support during software installation or configuration.
  • Write detailed test plans, procedures, and scenarios covering database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error and bug retests, usability, and software interfaces.
  • Create and update automated scripts and document test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards.
  • Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
  • Document test results using a bug-tracking system, report defects to software developers, monitor bug-resolution efforts, track successes, and conduct historical analyses of test results.
  • Perform software compatibility testing across programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments.
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program functions, output, online screens, or content.
  • Test system modifications before implementation.
  • Identify deviations from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
  • Perform initial debugging by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code fragments to determine the source of failures.
  • Investigate customer problems referred by technical support and collaborate with others to diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in product design reviews by providing input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems.
  • Provide developers with feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
  • Participate in formal and informal reviews to determine quality.
  • Work with cloud environments for new application development and the transition of legacy applications to the cloud.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Unix/Linux commands.
  • Demonstrated experience testing applications using cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services.
  • Demonstrated experience or considerable knowledge of at least one automated testing tool.
  • Demonstrated experience creating automated test scripts.
  • Demonstrated experience explaining protocols, technical procedures, and processes clearly and accurately to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining current skills in tools, methodologies, technologies, and programming languages.
