About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent computer-related experience, with at least 12 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.
  • A minimum of 6–8 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, including at least 3–4 years specifically with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Experience as an OAC administrator, including environment management, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience designing end-to-end reporting solutions within the Oracle Cloud environment.
  • Expertise in OAC development, data modeling, performance tuning, and integrating various data sources.
  • Extensive experience connecting OAC to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP/HCM), including familiarity with using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) subject areas and analyses as data sources in OAC datasets.
  • Proficiency using BI Publisher (BIP) reports as data sources for complex or pixel-perfect reporting within the Fusion environment.
  • Experience with BI Cloud Connector (BICC) to extract data from Fusion SaaS into a data warehouse for blended, cross-functional reporting and data transformation.
  • Understanding of the shared security model that allows OAC to use security permissions and role assignments established in source Fusion applications.
  • Proficiency with OAC Data Visualization, RPD modeling, Data Flows, and Data Sets.
  • Expertise in advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including schema design, ETL/ELT processes, and database architecture for scalability.
  • Hands-on experience connecting OAC to external non-Oracle databases, such as SQL Server or cloud databases, using native connectors or JDBC drivers.
  • Experience with connection types, network security groups, and private access channels in OCI for secure, reliable communication between OAC and private or on-premises databases.
  • Expertise establishing and enforcing data security and governance frameworks across the OAC and Oracle Fusion ecosystem.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must pass a pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, and is subject to random drug testing under the employer's substance abuse policy.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain an HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under Department of Energy Order 206.2 and NNSA Supplemental Directive SD 206.2.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize OAC dashboard, report, and data-model performance by tuning queries, managing data caching, and applying best practices for large-volume datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in report generation, data extraction, and database bottlenecks using tools such as SQL Tuning Advisor and Explain Plan analysis.
  • Design and implement data-loading and extraction strategies using tools such as BICC or OIC to manage large-scale data pipelines.
  • Advise on data partitioning, indexing, and materialized views to improve query execution speed and system responsiveness.
  • Configure remote data connectivity using the OAC Data Gateway for secure, live access to on-premises data sources.
  • Design solutions that blend Fusion SaaS, external databases, and flat files into cohesive datasets and visualizations for analysis.
  • Implement fine-grained OAC access controls, including application roles, catalog permissions, and data filters, so users see data relevant to their security context.
  • Configure security so the source Oracle Fusion Applications security model, including HCM role hierarchies and ERP data access sets, is respected when users access data through OTBI or BICC extractions.
  • Apply data-masking and encryption practices to protect sensitive or personally identifiable information and protected health information in analytics datasets and warehouses.
  • Define and document OAC content lifecycle, data lineage, and audit-logging governance policies to meet regulatory requirements such as SOX and GDPR.
  • Monitor data usage, access patterns, and policy compliance using OAC and OCI audit logs and reporting tools.
  • Ensure system configurations follow established security zones and corporate security standards in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment.
  • Use OCI compartment management to logically isolate OAC instances and data resources for security and governance.
  • Use OAC embedded machine-learning and AI capabilities to build predictive models, detect anomalies, and generate data-driven insights.
  • Use the OAC AI Assistant for natural-language querying and data-visualization generation.
  • Integrate and deploy machine-learning models developed with Oracle Machine Learning (OML) or Python/R in OAC dashboards to support advanced analytics and forecasting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Analytics Cloud Certified Professional, are highly valued.
