Requirements
  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or a related health field, plus any combination of graduate studies and Behavioral Health experience totaling two years working with SED children and families.
  • Current New Mexico licensure in good standing as one or more of LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LMHC, or LPAT.
  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to access and coordinate with community resources.
  • Ability to establish positive, professional relationships and communicate and work cooperatively with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic systems, including electronic health records, computerized client assessments, and data/reporting systems.
  • A valid New Mexico driver's license, reliable transportation, an acceptable driving record, and required auto insurance coverage.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain local, state, and FBI criminal records clearance and successfully complete required background checks.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain and maintain it according to agency policy.
  • Current Crisis Prevention Intervention certification or equivalent, or ability to obtain and maintain it according to agency policy.
  • Ability to document behavioral healthcare services clearly, concisely, logically, thoroughly, and accurately in compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel within the community for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move light objects or occasionally assist clients physically.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a written psychosocial assessment within 48 hours of admission or case assignment.
  • Attend treatment team meetings, case reviews, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Consult with agency staff and collateral entities to coordinate services for assigned clients.
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Document client progress, reassessed needs, intervention quality and timeliness, and outcomes using progress notes in DAP format, treatment plans and updates, case notes, program forms, incident reports, and progress letters as assigned.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy, home-based services, and other assigned clinical services.
  • Attend assigned training and supervision.
  • Maintain professional-quality client records and perform timely, accurate administrative case duties, including utilization review, billing, and performance measures.
  • Provide 24-hour crisis intervention availability when needed or directed.
  • Comply with agency philosophy, policies, standards of conduct, contract requirements, state regulations, and applicable professional codes of ethics.
