PMG extends Case Central to handle CFPB complaints after bureau reports credit reporting cases jumped from 150K to 5M

PMG.net has extended its Case Central platform to manage Consumer Financial Protection Bureau complaints alongside credit reporting disputes in a single system. The move follows the CFPB's June announcement of a major overhaul to its complaint system, prompted by credit reporting complaints surging from roughly 150,000 in 2019 to over five million in 2025. Case Central processes both complaint types through multi-channel intake and is designed to integrate with the CFPB's forthcoming API. The unified system allows data furnishers to identify patterns across complaints and disputes relating to the same consumer or account. The platform's AI capabilities, including Smart Start, flag relevant documentation to reduce investigation time. PMG CEO Joe LeCompte noted that complaints often precede disputes or exam findings by months, making early pattern detection valuable for preventing costly remediation.

Optio Solutions selects Case Central to power its dispute management operations.

Optio Solutions selects Case Central to power its dispute management operations. PMG.net, Inc., a leader in workflow automation for over 25 years, today announced that Optio Solutions, a nationwide accounts receivable management and debt collection company, has selected Case Central as its dispute management platform of choice. The partnership will support Optio's efforts to resolve consumer disputes faster, strengthen regulatory compliance, and improve the overall experience for consumers and Optio's employees. Founded in 2007, Optio Solutions provides its clients fixed-fee pre-collection services as well as contingency-based recovery for aged receivables. Earlier this year, Optio began a market search for a proven dispute management solution that could centralize case handling, reduce resolution times, and improve auditability. Case Central, PMG's purpose-built credit dispute management system, replaces fragmented manual processes with a single platform built for regulatory recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Its centralized access to dispute data and files, along with automated logging and tracking of dispute review and investigation activity, gives Optio's compliance and leadership teams greater visibility into case status and performance. This reinforces Optio's commitment to timely, consistent communication with consumers throughout the dispute process. "As consumer dispute trends and compliance expectations continue to evolve, we needed a platform built specifically for how our team works. Case Central gives us the visibility and control we need to resolve disputes quickly and consistently, while providing consumers a better experience," said Chris Schumacher, President & CEO, Optio Solutions. The move reflects a broader trend among accounts receivable management companies to modernize dispute handling in response to heightened dispute volumes and regulatory attention from agencies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and state attorneys general, as well as rising consumer expectations for transparency and responsiveness. "Optio has built its reputation on handling consumer disputes fairly and efficiently, and we're proud to support that work. We built Case Central to give collections teams a single source of truth for every case, and we look forward to a long partnership with Optio," said Joe LeCompte, Principal & CEO, PMG. About Optio Solutions Optio Solutions, LLC is a nationwide, full-service collection agency founded in 2007 and based in Petaluma, California. Optio (also doing business as Qualia Collection Services) offers customizable pre-collection and collection services, including fixed-fee early-stage recovery and contingency-based collection of aged receivables. About PMG.net, Inc. PMG.net, Inc. ("PMG"), a leader in workflow automation for over 25 years, developed Case Central to help data furnishers improve their dispute operations. Case Central, a secure SaaS application, supports FCRA compliance and investigation consistency through configurable process checklists, built-in activity tracking, and one-click case summary reports. Customers also see up to 40% efficiency gains from bi-directional e-OSCAR(R) and system-of-record integrations, support for both direct and indirect disputes, and automation features such as recommended responses and auto-resolution.
