Job Description:

This is a contract, part-time role supporting Puppy Sphere’s private events, predominantly on weekdays at off-site corporate venues and other event locations.

We are looking for yoga instructors who are passionate about yoga, love puppies, and have a warm, bubbly personality. You will lead beginner-friendly yoga classes while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both attendees and puppies.

Private events take place at varying locations and times, with a greater focus on weekday corporate bookings. Shifts are not guaranteed and will depend on private event bookings, so this role is best suited to instructors who have a flexible schedule and are comfortable with an ad hoc, variable working pattern.

Session Rates:

• 45-minute sessions: $50 per session
• 35-minute sessions: $40 per session

Please note that the availability of sessions will vary depending on event demand.

Yoga Instructor Responsibilities:

• Lead and instruct engaging beginner yoga flow classes with an emphasis on relaxation and enjoyment.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive and motivating environment that encourages guest participation. 
• Structure classes inline with Puppy Sphere's class format and experience guidelines. 
• Provide clear cueing, guidance and modifications to support a range of fitness levels. 
• Deliver a clear and engaging introduction at the start of each class, outlining what to expect. 
• Communicate clearly and confidently throughout the session to guide guests and create a smooth experience. 
• Hold a strong presence in the room, maintaining energy, flow, and engagement from start to finish.
• Maintain awareness of the overall studio environment, ensuring alignment with Puppy Sphere's experience standards and puppy welfare guidelines throughout the session.
• Collaborate with on-site staff to ensure a seamless overall experience for guests, while maintaining a clear focus on instruction.
• Foster a sense of community and encourage repeat attendance. 
• Share feedback on class flow, guest experience, and overall delivery to support the ongoing development of Puppy Sphere. 
• Be mindful and patient that puppies will be present during practice and attendees will have divided attention to the yoga practice and puppies.

Yoga Instructor Requirements:

• Must have a flexible schedule and be available for ad hoc private event bookings, predominantly on weekdays.
• Availability for weekday corporate events is essential; weekend availability is a plus.
• Shifts are not guaranteed and will depend on private event bookings.
• Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200 or equivalent).
• Must hold valid Professional Liability Insurance covering fitness instruction.
• Experience teaching beginner yoga classes preferred.
• Genuine love for animals, particularly puppies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to create a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment.
• Patience and adaptability to handle the playful nature of puppies during classes.
• Comfortable teaching at varying off-site venues, including corporate offices and other private event locations.
