Hatch launches automated referral management on athenahealth Marketplace for specialty practices

Hatch, a referral management platform for specialty practices, has launched in the athenahealth Marketplace. The integration with athenaOne enables specialty practices to automate referral workflows and improve patient access to care. The platform addresses inefficiencies in referral management, which Hatch identifies as typically handled through manual processes across inboxes and spreadsheets. Hatch's AI Document Intelligence processes referrals into a centralised queue, whilst the athenaOne integration automatically matches or creates patient charts and uploads documents. The system allows referral coordinators to select insurance packages without leaving Hatch, and referral status syncs to athenaOne inboxes to eliminate duplicate data entry. "Referral management is consistently the largest, least optimised lever they have to achieve both," said Chris Poole, Hatch's chief executive officer. The athenahealth Marketplace features over 600 integrated solutions for clinical and financial workflows.

The integration enables clinicians to objectively monitor Parkinson's symptoms between office visits and incorporate longitudinal patient data into clinical care. NeuroRPM uses Apple Watch and iPhone to continuously monitor Parkinson's motor symptoms, including bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia. The platform provides clinicians with objective insights into symptom patterns, ON and OFF times, and medication response while supporting reimbursable remote patient monitoring services. At the core of NeuroRPM is an AI-enabled analytics platform that transforms continuous Apple Watch sensor data into clinically meaningful measures of Parkinson's symptoms and treatment response. Because monitoring occurs passively during everyday activity, patients can generate longitudinal data with minimal effort. Integration with athenaOne allows clinicians to incorporate this information into existing workflows and extend Parkinson's care beyond the office visit. NeuroRPM provides real-world insight into how symptoms and medication response change over time between clinical evaluations. "Parkinson's care is often based on what clinicians observe during an office visit and what patients can recall about the time in between," said Atila Omer, CEO of NeuroRPM. "NeuroRPM gives clinicians and their patients an objective view of how Parkinson's symptoms are changing in everyday life. Integrating with athenaOne makes it easier to bring that information into routine care and support better-informed treatment decisions." PrescriberPoint becomes an athenahealth Solution Partner, now available in the athenahealth Marketplace. PrescriberPoint joins athenahealth Marketplace; national EHR integration to scale AI-powered prior authorization and expand "Prescribing Intelligence" for more than 170,000 providers BOSTON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - PrescriberPoint, a provider of AI-powered prescribing tools and support through its point-of-care platform, today announced it has joined athenahealth's Partner Community as a Solution Partner. Its prior authorization solution is now available in the athenahealth Marketplace, providing access to athenahealth's growing network of healthcare providers. The new integration enables healthcare providers to initiate and complete prior authorizations directly within their e-prescribing workflow. PrescriberPoint takes on the administrative weight of prior authorization so clinicians and their staff can stay focused on patients. Through the integration, athenahealth providers can: * Reduce the hours typically spent assembling and submitting PAs, with clinical and patient details pulled together automatically * Get patients on therapy faster - in some cases starting complex treatments in as few as 48 hours * Move denials forward without starting from scratch, with appeals and supporting documentation prepared automatically In a recent study conducted by PrescriberPoint, clinicians accepted 94.5 percent of the agent's answers to payer questions without changes, reviewing and approving each submission before it reaches the payer. "Prior authorization is one of the most time-consuming parts of getting a patient on therapy," said Dan Cornwell, CEO of PrescriberPoint. "By integrating our prior authorization solution into the e-prescribing workflow, we take the administrative work off the provider's plate - the clinical, coverage, and patient details are already there - and prepare the submission for them. For athenahealth's providers that means less paperwork and patients who can start treatment sooner." Through the Marketplace, customers can discover, deploy, and scale integrated solutions that extend athenaOne(R), helping streamline workflows and improve clinical and financial performance. PrescriberPoint joins athenahealth's ecosystem of integrated solutions available to more than 170,000 clinicians on the athenaOne network. About PrescriberPoint PrescriberPoint is an AI-powered point-of-care platform that supports clinicians at every step of the prescribing journey - from researching FDA-approved drug and clinical information, to understanding coverage and out-of-pocket costs, to submitting prior authorizations and enrolling patients in the right savings programs. Prescriber.AI, the company's AI Agent platform, automates many of these time-consuming tasks by answering drug questions on demand, guiding clinicians through coverage and savings decisions, and managing prior authorization submissions. In 2025, PrescriberPoint reached more than 5 million healthcare professionals, including prescribers and staff, establishing it as one of the largest active HCP networks in digital health.
