Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five or more years combined experience working in PK-12 education
  • Minimum of two years experience teaching PK-12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds
  • At least two (2) years experience as an instructional coach to teacher leaders and/or school leaders
  • Experience facilitating impactful professional learning and coaching for educators in virtual and in-person settings
  • Experience building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders in an education context
  • Experience empowering teacher leaders through trusting relationships and shifting mindsets/beliefs about students' potential
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Common Core or College- and Career-Ready math standards
  • Experience teaching or coaching at least one of the following curricula: Illustrative Mathematics (Algebra 1, Algebra II, Geometry), Illustrative Mathematics (Grades 6-8)
  • Implement excellent programmatic services
  • Provide in-person coaching to teachers and leaders in the New York City Department of Education
  • Engage in administrative and Teaching Lab programmatic responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, time management, and workflow management
  • Support the development of systems, tools, and processes to support effective and efficient implementation of services
  • Maintain positive and responsive relationships with clients
  • Design high-quality, research-based, user-centered professional learning content, services, and tools/resources
  • Act as a content area expert aligned with organizational needs
  • Design or adapt content and facilitate professional learning with teacher leaders and school leaders
  • Collaborate with others on the Program team to continuously refine and develop high-quality professional learning content
  • Work with Teaching Lab team members to identify and engage new and existing school system partners
  • Collaborate with the research and learning function to adapt and improve Teaching Lab’s data collection and impact evaluation processes
  • Stay abreast of key research and guidance in the field
  • Attend learning experiences to build skills and competencies in project management, client management, coaching, and adult facilitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Program, Director, Program, Senior Director, Program, and/or Executive Team
