Requirements

Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited Physical Therapy program.
Hold a current Maryland state license and current CPR certification.
Have exercise, sports rehabilitation, and manual-based skills.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
Review physician referrals or prescriptions, patient conditions, and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
Provide direct patient care according to established protocols and patient care guidelines.
Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
Be responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
Complete written plans of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop comprehensive programs to attain those goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment programs and provide essential physical therapy treatments.
Communicate with patients, caregivers, professional colleagues, physicians, and insurance companies.
Complete timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

Bayside Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation is looking for a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial attitude and commitment to join our team as a full-time Physical Therapist in our fun and energetic outpatient orthopedic clinic in Edgewater.
