  • Bachelors' in technical subject or equivalent proficiency
  • 5+ years experience in industry data engineering
  • 3+ years experience in one or more of the following specialties: Proficiency in time-series databases, Automating data collection, storage, and validation, Organizing and managing large, complex data sets, Creating data and operations dashboards
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL-based relational databases, and AWS services
  • Experience shipping robust internal tools
  • Clear and effective written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative problem solving with limited resources and engineering constraints
Responsibilities
  • Understand complex data and operations problems across multiple disciplines and apply software engineering methodology to attack them
  • Make tactical decisions on scope and priority to effect a continuously-improving software system
  • Proactively elicit requirements and feedback with cross-functional stakeholders and produce necessary documentation to ensure system changes meet operational needs and can be adopted
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to best practices in a software engineering team

  • Experience with ETL, ELT, or pipeline orchestration tools such as dbt, Dagster, and Airflow
  • Experience in batteries, IoT, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
