  • Ability to administer operations management modules and coordinate system maintenance, modifications, upgrades, and implementation of new systems, processes, and practices.
  • Ability to develop operations-related training materials, conduct user training, and write training documentation such as training manuals, job aids, and change logs.
  • Ability to learn park maintenance techniques, Parks and Recreation infrastructure types, City assets, and public sector operational techniques.
  • Ability to keep abreast of operations management topics and write customer queries and reports to specification.
  • Ability to perform business intelligence and data analysis using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to leverage emerging artificial intelligence technologies to assist with data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Applied Geography, plus one year of experience in technology implementation and ongoing project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide project life cycle management for the development of Parks and Recreation assets, including building asset data by transforming and integrating existing data, creating data collection plans, testing technology, documenting processes, and performing change management tasks.
  • Analyze and research data using the Operations Management System to prepare cost projections, condition and aging analyses, and specialized reports and maps for staff and City Council.
  • Integrate and update the Operations Management System with completed maintenance and rebuild projects from field work activity and develop proposed maintenance and rebuild lists.
  • Design and create digital maps with geographic data and other data sets, identify patterns and trends by analyzing spatial data, and visualize data using the ESRI product suite or other geographic information systems software.
  • Develop asset-related training materials.
  • Administer specific asset management modules and coordinate system maintenance, modifications, and upgrades with other staff.
  • Keep management informed about industry topics related to asset management.
  • Conduct new-user and refresher training for users of asset management modules.
  • Provide backup to the Operations Systems Administrator and the Asset Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with operations management systems, ESRI product suite, geographic information systems, and various databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
