Aspen Dental and ClearChoice launch apps to simplify dental care booking and treatment tracking

The Aspen Group has launched new patient apps for Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implant Center, aimed at simplifying dental care management. The apps allow patients to book appointments, complete pre-visit steps, view treatment plans, and track progress. Aspen Dental patients can book same-day emergency appointments for issues like tooth pain or broken dentures. ClearChoice users can preview simulated images of potential smile transformations using augmented reality before their first consultation. "Nearly 30 years ago, we started building this business around a pretty simple idea: to be a 'Yes' organisation in an industry full of no's," said Bob Fontana, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of The Aspen Group. Both apps are available free on Apple App Store and Google Play.

New patient apps extend The Aspen Group's mission to remove barriers to care, giving patients greater visibility, convenience, and control from booking through treatment CHICAGO, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - The Aspen Group (TAG) today announced the launch of new patient apps for Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implant Center, designed to make navigating dental care simpler, clearer, and more convenient. Breaking down barriers has always been at the heart of TAG's approach to care. For patients, those barriers can take many forms, from finding time to schedule an appointment and understanding a treatment plan to simply knowing where to turn with a question. The new Aspen Dental and ClearChoice apps are designed to remove that friction and put more of the dental experience directly into patients' hands. "Nearly 30 years ago, we started building this business around a pretty simple idea: to be a 'Yes' organization in an industry full of no's," said Bob Fontana, founder, chairman and CEO of The Aspen Group. "In partnership with the dentists we support, we've spent decades breaking down barriers because we believe healthcare should work better for patients. These apps are another step in that journey. If we can give patients more visibility, more convenience and more control over their care, why wouldn't we?" The apps give patients greater visibility and control throughout their care, from booking appointments and completing pre-visit steps to understanding treatment plans, tracking progress and knowing what comes next. For Aspen Dental patients, that includes the ability to book same-day emergency appointments, subject to availability, for issues such as tooth pain, a cracked tooth or crown, or a broken denture. ClearChoice patients can even preview a simulated image of a potential new smile before their first consultation. Both Aspen Dental and ClearChoice have spent decades working to make dental care more accessible and easier to navigate, pioneering a model that aims to make treatment faster, more transparent, and simpler for patients. The new apps extend that same patient-first philosophy beyond the walls of the dental office or center, creating a more connected experience before, during, and after a visit. "Patients expect the same kind of convenience and visibility from healthcare that they get in other parts of their lives," said Rafeh Masood, Chief Commercial Officer of The Aspen Group. "What matters about these apps isn't the technology itself, it's what the technology makes possible: fewer barriers, clearer information and a more connected experience before, during and after a visit. We're making it easier for patients to understand their care and take the next step." Aspen Dental: See and understand your care The Aspen Dental app is designed to make every step of the dental experience simpler, clearer and easier to navigate, removing friction and putting important parts of the care experience directly into patients' hands. Patients can better understand why a diagnosis was made - whether it's a cavity or a condition such as periodontal disease - and follow the treatment plan designed to address it. Instead of wondering what comes next, patients can see their plan and track their progress toward completing care. Key features include: * See your treatment plan, understand next steps, and track progress toward completion * Check in and complete pre-visit steps through the app before arriving * Access trusted oral health content * View your next visit at a glance, with directions and add-to-calendar options ClearChoice: Preview a new smile and protect it for life The ClearChoice app supports patients throughout their journey, from imagining what a new smile could look like to full-arch restoration and ongoing care. First Look Smile Preview uses augmented reality to provide a simulated preview of a patient's potential new smile before they ever set foot in a ClearChoice center, helping make the path to treatment easier to understand while building excitement and confidence about what may be possible. Additional features include: * Book a free consultation in a few taps and complete pre-consultation steps from anywhere * Watch real transformations and patient stories through the app's video library * Ask implant-related questions and receive straightforward, informational responses from ClearChoice's knowledge-based virtual assistant * Manage yearly ClearChoice cleaning reminders * Share ClearChoice information with loved ones who may be in need of dental care The launch represents the next step in TAG's effort to create a more connected patient experience. In the months ahead, both apps will continue to add features designed to give patients greater transparency into their treatment plans and more ways to understand and manage their care from one place. Both apps are available for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play. To learn more, visit aspendental.com/app/ and clearchoice.com/app/. Aspen Dental opens new dental office in Merced, CA.

Aspen Dental opens new dental office in Merced, CA. * October 1, 2026 * 3 minutes read * 4 hours ago New office at 3170 R Street adds walk-in availability and same-day care options in a region where dental providers are in short supply Today, Aspen Dental(R) opened a new supported practice at 3170 R Street in Merced, led by Managing Clinical Director Avni Sharma, DDS, now serving patients throughout Merced County and neighboring communities in the San Joaquin Valley. The office offers a full range of dental services under one roof, including preventive care, emergency dentistry, dentures, implants, crowns, bridges, oral surgery, and Motto(TM) Clear Aligners, along with walk-in visits and cost estimates patients can review before treatment begins. "Merced is a growing community where families want access to a dental office that can handle everything under one roof, from a routine cleaning to a same-day emergency," said Dr. Sharma. "I want patients to know they have a dental team nearby that will listen, understand what matters to them, and provide the care they need at every stage of their oral health journey. It's a privilege to have the opportunity to build those relationships and care for this community for years to come." Merced's population grew from 78,958 residents at the 2010 Census to 86,333 at the 2020 Census, an increase of about 9 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The new office sits on R Street, near the newly redeveloped Shoppes at Merced retail center, putting the practice along a corridor where many Merced residents already shop and dine. That growth is unfolding in a region already short on dental providers. Most counties in the San Joaquin Valley, including Merced County, have a lower supply of dentists and oral health professionals per capita than the statewide rate, according to the California Department of Health Care Access and Information. "When patients can't get in to see a dentist, small problems don't stay small," said Dr. Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer at Aspen Dental. "A cavity that goes untreated becomes a root canal, and a root canal that goes untreated becomes an extraction. Opening in Merced means patients get a nearby option for preventive and restorative care, instead of waiting weeks for an appointment or driving out of the county for treatment they need close to home." "Patients in the Central Valley are telling us they want more options for dental care right in their own community, and Dr. Sharma's new office answers that," said Lori D'Anna, president, field operations at Aspen Dental. "Our focus is keeping the practice running smoothly behind the scenes, so she can spend her energy on patients, not paperwork." The Merced office is in-network with many major dental insurance carriers and offers financing options to help make treatment affordable. Patients can schedule online, call the office directly, or walk in, and those dealing with a broken tooth, sudden pain, or another urgent issue can typically be seen the same day. Extended hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, along with Saturday appointments, are built around the schedules of working families. Office hours and scheduling. The Merced office is now accepting new patients at 3170 R Street, Merced, CA 95348. Office hours are: * Monday-Tuesday: 8 AM-5 PM * Wednesday-Thursday: 9 AM-6 PM * Friday: 8 AM-2 PM * Select Saturdays: 8 AM-2 PM To schedule an appointment, patients can visit aspendental.com or call 209-201-0124. Walk-ins are welcome. About Aspen Dental.
