Staff Software Engineer

Anthuria is bringing AI innovation to senior living facilities, transforming how nurses and operators manage critical healthcare information. We use large language models to turn overwhelming volumes of clinical notes into clear, actionable insights that immediately improve patient care and operations. Founded only a few months ago and backed by a family office with deep healthcare expertise, we are already deployed across 10+ states.

You Will

Architect and build full-stack solutions: You will work across our entire technology stack to deliver high quality features using Python, React, and AWS. You have experience building complex web applications with robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud monitoring systems, and have led projects from concept to scale across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.

Establish engineering best practices: As a founding team member, you will help set technical standards and build scalable foundations that will support our growth. You have experience establishing engineering processes and architectural patterns that balance speed needs with long-term maintainability. 

Design and implement LLM-powered systems: Collaborating with our AI Engineers, you will develop robust data pipelines, testing and evaluation frameworks to scale our AI applications. You have experience working with LLMs in production and stay up-to-date with AI developments to effectively embed these technologies into products.  

Navigate healthcare systems and data requirements: You'll design and implement solutions that effectively integrate with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA. 

Collaborate across organizational boundaries: You will work with internal teams and directly with clients (nurses and operators) to translate domain-specific challenges into technical solutions. You can effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

What We Offer 

Pay Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $200K–$250K. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon work experience, and/or skill level, among other things. This role is also eligible for an equity package.

Location

Anthuria is headquartered in a brand new office space in New York's Hudson Yards. We've designed our workplace to foster the collaboration and spontaneous interactions that drive innovation. Our team works in-office four days per week, with flexibility to work remotely when needed.
