Requirements
  • Completed technical education with an IT focus, such as HTL, a university of applied sciences, a university, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management, ideally in a corporate group or distributed-site organization.
  • Experience leading technical teams in both professional and disciplinary matters.
  • Sound knowledge in several of the following areas: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, hybrid cloud architectures, virtualization, storage, backup, recovery, LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls, VPN, monitoring, IT service management, and service management.
  • Experience leading complex infrastructure, consolidation, or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT security, availability, lifecycle management, and business continuity.
  • Ability to assess technical options systematically and derive economically sound decisions.
  • Very good German and good English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel between Austrian locations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the IT Infrastructure Management team in professional and disciplinary matters.
  • Take overall responsibility for stable, secure, and cost-effective operation of group-wide IT infrastructure.
  • Steer the Modern Workplace, Datacenter and Cloud, and Network and Communication competency areas, including endpoint devices, Microsoft 365, endpoint security, software distribution, IT onboarding, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, databases, monitoring, LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls, VPN, and communication services.
  • Develop and implement a group-wide infrastructure roadmap, including standardization.
  • Own infrastructure projects from concept and financial assessment through implementation.
  • Advance modern Microsoft, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure efficient operations, maintenance, incident, and escalation processes.
  • Manage external partners, including budgets, contracts, and service quality.
  • Work closely with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and business departments.
  • Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management.
  • Oversee the development, operation, and maintenance of networks, servers, end-user computing, and cloud solutions, including data center and network consolidation, a multi-year migration roadmap, and a group-wide operating model.
