Requirements
  • Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree and three years of previous experience in financial aid, student services, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of federal financial-aid processes and regulations, including basic mathematical skills and operations using American currency.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or group settings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, exceptional organization, time management, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the capacity to analyze and solve financial-aid problems.
  • Commitment to supporting the academic excellence and Christ-centered mission of Anderson University.
Responsibilities
  • Support or oversee the daily operations of the financial aid office while delivering customer service to students and families.
  • Oversee the administration and monitoring of federal, state, institutional, and private aid funds.
  • Assist with or oversee the office budget.
  • Provide financial-aid analysis and reporting to support strategic enrollment initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous-improvement efforts related to net tuition revenue, discount-rate analysis, and operational benchmarking.
  • Review GPA and credit-hour requirements.
  • Develop proactive outreach strategies to support federal loan status.
  • Manage award adjustments for course-load changes and military benefits.
  • Maintain processes in Workday.
  • Use reporting tools to optimize aid distribution.
  • Provide exit loan counseling.
  • Oversee the Federal Work-Study Program.
  • Serve as a liaison for employee tuition benefits and other campus committees.
  • Participate in development opportunities and complete special projects assigned by the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Department of Education systems, or similar systems.
