Requirements
  • A degree in architecture from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five to seven years of experience in the architecture profession is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be a licensed architect or actively on the path to licensure.
  • Must demonstrate a strong portfolio and/or work examples.
  • Must understand building codes and industry standards and be able to research, interpret, and apply code requirements.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of construction documents and how they are developed, coordinated, and assembled throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Must be able to coordinate applicable project discipline drawings, digital models, and specifications.
  • Must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of construction techniques and constructability.
  • Must be proficient in Revit, BIM 360, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Must meet the role's physical requirements, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on the planning, design, and execution of architectural projects.
  • Apply architectural experience to projects, exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving, and collaborate with senior staff on complex assignments.
  • Independently lead a variety of architectural assignments while receiving mentorship and guidance on complex design challenges.
  • Coordinate and review project work to ensure quality and timeliness, and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, colleagues, and contractors through clear and proactive communication.
  • Assist in preparing and following design budgets and marketing proposals.
  • Support construction administration by participating in site meetings, reviewing shop drawings and requests for information, and preparing architect's supplemental instructions in accordance with contract documents.
